okay carry on with your regular chit chat..

HuggaBaloo, since it is a contract position, does it have benefits, insurance?

QOTD: Yes, but it's terrifying and I don't like to talk about it.
Another QUIRK: Toys with parts, they can't have missing parts. It drives me nuts. I will tear apart the house to find the part and I make sure all the parts are there before the kids put them away. For example, Tye has this Fisher Price ball popper thing. It sits on the ground, you push a red lever type thing, it plays music and air pushes the balls through this tunnel. He loves it, I love it, but he'll play with it and a ball or two will be gone. I can't stand it and must find it, like it's mine. I also can't stand losing things. I don't, generally. If I do, it drives me nuts til I find it.

QOTD: It's really weird (but then again so am I). I have the same dream over and over again.. always when I have a terrible, horrible, no good, really bad day. Like today. I'm like in a circus tent. The ringmaster calls my name and I'm supposed to stand in front of what looks like a gazillion people and

. I can't juggle. And it's not just ordinary things like balls or bowling pins. It's stuff like chainsaws and knives and things that could really hurt me. I always wake up just as I'm gonna cut off my hand or arm or something. Darn weirdest dream....

Sorry HB we've been wondering where you were. You're gonna hear back real soon, I promise.

Recruiter you say? I need a recruiter for the area, can you share?
Thanks Lewski709! Actually, she is a recruiter for the company I'm interviewing with. She works in HR. I try to stay away from third-party recruiters as I have had some really bad experiences with them. But, if nothing else works out I may need to go that route. :crazy2:

How goes it with your search? Any luck? I found a posting I think we should both apply on. ::yes::

I'm trying to find that out. I was so disappointed/stunned when she called me Monday I didn't even think to ask! And the guy I interviewed with yesterday couldn't have answered that question because he's not in HR. A lot of times employers will pay contract workers a little more to offset the cost of insurance. The recruiter is supposed to call me in the next few days so I hope to find out then.

Hmmmmm...my undergrad degree was in Psychology, but I think I'll pass on that one, Monica! :teeth:

I'm a little different (as you all have certainly realized! ;) ). It's actually very rare for me to remember my dreams. So, I may have a recurring dream and not even know it!

I got a thanks, we found someone but we'll keep you on file yesterday email. Other than that, I think it's because I am NOT already in the area. In mean, I have the experience that almost parallels with some of these jobs and I have my B.S. In Business Administration, so????????

OMG.....
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
We could do it!

LOL! :rotfl:

I can see her neighbors now: "She was so quiet and unassuming. We never suspected anything. We were all just so shocked when they found that bloody chainsaw in her bed."

I strongly believe that. At least, that's what I've been telling myself. I can't wait until I can start applying with my FL address and phone number. I'm anxious to see if it makes a difference. (I certainly hope so or I'll be really depressed!).

what if we got a PO box in Fl and then had that routed to our home address? Do you think that would work? When do you move?

Ok, that's weird.

Maybe if you learn to juggle, your nightmare will go away. BUT, I would start out with tennis balls or fruit or something.

I have tried too many times to count and I have no juggling ability whatsoever. I'm gonna be stuck with this stupid dream for the rest of my life.

Hey Lewski sent you another PM.

Maybe we could do a 4-way? add Barb? Can this be done?

Did you notice that when I edited your quote to make it smaller, it turned out quite funny? Go back and read my post........:teeth:

Plus, I mentioned sharp objects. Now I'm gonna be labeled as "The Dis Axe Murderer".

sorry, had to get that out.

OK, OK, here are the plans for those of you who are trying to plan your trips around the availability of our apartment ;)...

We will be leaving Chattanooga Monday, March 22 (only 3 more shopping months until my birthday! :teeth: ). We will spend the night in Valdosta, GA, like we usually do. We will continue to Orlando Tuesday morning (March 23).

We decided to forego a moving company due to the expense involved. We are hiring some people to load the truck we rented, but we'll unload it ourselves once we get there (it's always easier to unload than to load and we really don't have all that much stuff). Plus, my father is coming to Chattanooga the day before we leave and will go down there with us to help unload (and to drive one of the vehicles).
