Of course macraven's a celebrity heck, I think perhaps royalty (she did grant me my title LOL).

Spent the last several hours restoring my computer...DS's buddy emailed him some racey pictures (that had a virus that got past my security) grrrrrrrr!

Just had to check this thread before I crashed for the night...are the dancing icons something new? (fascinated by the dancing bananas & mobile aliens)... I've been dwelling in the 1st dimension and missing all the good stuff - woo-hoo! Of course, I'll never remember what I did different in the set-up this time.

Unfortunately, although computer illiterate, I'm a self-proclaimed expert on finding & deleting my middle DS's questionable downloads. He's a (relatively) normal 19 year old, who will be starting police acad. in Jan. but, obviously still has raging hormones! Of course, he denies actually procurring the files. Sez they're sent via his AOL buddies. The straw that broke my computer's back was an IM that included over 1,000 files; obviously corrupt. They weren't even opened, but when I went to remove them - disaster struck.

My computer is loaded up with security & I use lavasoft several times a day; but any shared file can attach itself to a thread in your computer. When you delete it, it takes the necessary file with it...and your computer will eventually need to be restored (to a save point or back to original factory condition). What a pain in the a**!

Such a whining yet cautionary tale...I'm close to locking the internet down w/a password or changing the locks on my door.

I have a like/hate relationship with mine!! They have gotten too sophisticated for me to work on them myself anymore and I hate that!!

Yes, and they are both in high school! They are a little younger than their peers in each grade. They are good kids and don't mind Mom and Dad still giving some guidance now and then.

Not to get too serious, but my youngest is 14 and about 4 weeks into his new school (from small rural junior high school to large county high school) he came home and told me he had been partnered with a girl in a class for a project and that he did not know her and she was telling him she had had "relations" the previous weekend and was afraid she had gotten herself pregnant....and he wanted to know what he should do!
