The Swan was incredible!

But not for the reasons you would think. My mom got sick and ended up in Sand Lake Hospital. She has to have emergency gallbladder surgery. The managers and the staff at the Swan bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed during this stressful time. They arranged transportation for me to and from the hospital every single day my mom was there. They called us every day to see how she was and to ask if there was anything we needed. My sister had to come down so she could fly home with my mom. There was no way she could have flown home alone. I had to ask for a roll-a-way. They didn't charge us for it! When my mom came back to the hotel, they let us use a wheel chair for the duration of our trip. All in all, they made a terrible situation almost bearable. I really can't thank them enough. Letters of thanks and gratitude are going out today!

Wow! Im sorry for your Mothers's illness, but boy did the Swan take good care of you. And people say there no Disney Magic at the Swan? I think you experienced a ton of it there.

So glad your mom is doing well. We had a similar experience a couple of years ago. My father had a dizzy spell, which it turned out was caused by a nearly blocked carotid artery requiring emergency surgery to prevent a major stroke. We were not, however, at a WDW hotel or the Swan or Dolphin. We were staying at a nearby timeshare resort. Although the front desk helped us contact CentraCare, we were on our own after that. Never a followup of any kind. We had to extend our trip for another week. Fortunately, my brother-in-law was able to rearrange work and stay to drive us to the hospital (he was treated at the new hospital in Celebration) and back, and we found accommodations elsewhere on our own for the second week. But, we were completely on our own. It was stressful enough having Dad so ill, without having to worry about transportation, housing, etc. So glad the Swan was so terrific. I booked a stay there just last week -- your post confirms I made a good decision.
