The Survivor Thread: Micronesia - Fans vs. Favorites

I have made absolutely no changes to my tribe (yet). I doubt I'll change the members of my tribe, but I'll probably change their bonuses tomorrow or Thursday.

I have Jason, Amanda, Alexis, and James.

James is too strong to be voted out and I don't expect Alexis to be voted out at all. I don't know why I chose Jason. Just a gut feeling, I guess.

The only one I'd be willing to lose is Jason and I'm not sure which other fave I feel good about (though I really do expect the favorites to win immunity this week, so I should switch it up).

Mint, because we're able to trade our teams every week, try not to think long-term at this time. Yes, it's good to have people on your roster that you are fairly certain won't be booted off, but even more importantly, you want to put people on your team that you think will gain some points that week. Just having a player on your team that you think will last to the end won't really get you anything point-wise...

Think short term, not long term. Who won't be eliminated THIS week? Who is most likely to get you some points based on what you've seen regarding the challenges and Exile Island?

Granted there's no hard and fast answers. You just have to go with your gut feeling after watching some previews. Sometimes you're right and sometimes you're very very wrong.

I watched and rewatched videos until midnight last night. I rewatched the last episode and took notes on a piece of paper. Who read treemail? Who chopped coconuts? Who is aligned with who?

This morning... I still have no idea what I'm going to do this week.

Hmmm well that's up to you if you want to change up your roster or not, but having Yau on your team is not going to get you one single point

I just finished watching the Jeff Probst preview again. Three things are running through my mind today...

1) He says "Cirie thinks she is in the driver's seat and everything is going great..." Makes me wonder if she's going to get blindsided tomorrow if Favs go to TC....

2) "The idols finally come into play." WHAT????? Idols? Plural? How the heck can you have more than 1 idol in one episode? And what does "come into play" really mean? Pete and I seem to disagree on what "come into play" actually means for the game....

3) "At Tribal Council, once again, another very interesting vote..." Based on that, it's NOT going to be an obvious person.... looks like another blindside in the making...

That's it from me, folks. I feel like I'm strategizing with myself here... Although Pete likes to listen to me, don't ya, Hero?

Jeff says "idols" finally come into play because he is speaking generally of all the idols we've seen this season. Of the three idols total, one of them is finally going to be a real factor at tribal council tomorrow night. His comment last week about two people searching for one idol was much more precise and I hardly think the idol count on Exile Island has changed since the last episode.

That's my take on it anyway. You go ahead and hang on to that two idol theory.

I understand that Survivor has only ONE idol hidden on Exile Island. Probst made that clear in a previous video...

However, what are the chances that Kathy, Cirie, or Ami has already found the hidden immunity idol and then planted a fake one (I know.... way out there.... but hasn't something similar been done previously?) So then... this episode, the Exiler finds the fake idol... but the real idol is out there also.... Hence, plural idols...

I do understand what you mean though about the three idols so far in this game.... However, wouldn't Probst just say... "finally an idol comes into play"... or "finally the idol comes into play..."

Pretty confident they said that on ep#1. Why else would 2 people be looking together on exile island? unless they want to hear "you tackled me ___" again

Probst clearly stated when talking about Exile Island either last week or the week before "Two survivors, ONE idol..."

Jeff's statement that they were looking for one idol is still true. The second Idol was still there. Cirie can use the information to buy loyalty from a tribemate. A tribemate that goes on Exile tonight and finds the other idol. That would put both the idols in the Favs camp.

Well considering that last season there were 2 idols, one at each camp, right under their noses and James found them both and didn't bother to use either one of them...It could be possible that there IS only one idol on Exile island and then another set of clues to find one in one of the camps.
I aldo do recal Jeff saying something about 2 idols in the first episode and not the ones that yau and fairplay fought over
