Oh.....My.......God I am finding this sooooooo hard to keep a secret! Just 4 weeks to go now!

As some of you may know I have planned a surprise trip for my hubbie's (Craig) 30th next month. I am going to tell him on his birthday which is 2 days before we go!
We will be taking our 3 year old son Chester with us who (like mummy and daddy) is Disney mad! But we are leaving our 4 month old daughter Millie with my parents as she will just not understand it all. I do feel incredibly guilty leaving her behind when we are going to dlp but I know its the best thing to do :guilty:

I am finding it all so hard atm because I am a planaholic and am having to do minimal planning and all in secret!

We are getting the Direct Eurostar service from Ebsfleet so will get into dlp at around 1.50pm so (as we are only there for 2 days) the sort of plan so far is to take some lunch with us to eat on the train then head straight for the parks (possibly studios first). Disneyland park is open until 11pm the days we are there so I really hope we can stay that late although I suspect Chester will be fast asleep in the pushchair by then, I will however try and wake him for the show because he keeps seeing the ad on tv and telling me he neeeeeeds to go there to see peter pan and hook!

I need to work out a cheap and quick place to eat at some point that eve so thinking possibly mcdonalds? I will be taking snacks for Chester. I also need to work out best way to get to hotel at end of eve and if its possible to check in that late? We are staying at Hotel l'Elysée, am I right in thinking that this is a Disney partner hotel so we can make use of EMH?

The next morning the plan is to get up early stock up on breakfast and head to the parks (again not sure if best to get the shuttle or get the train?) Hopefully for EMH. Then was thinking of doing a character lunch but I can not decide where to do it? I was originally thinking cowboy cookout but am now not sure if that is the right choice? The I am thinking maybe we should go to Cafe Mickeys because we have been there before and like it? We could eat quite cheaply in here too sharing a pizza and some chips? (can you do that?!) I mainly want a character meal so that when in the parks we can concentrate on the rides so Chester would still get to meet some characters?

When we went last time it was last January, very cold and very quiet so we were very lucky that most rides were no ques. I am very aware that this will not be the case in mid June! So I really need to start some kind of rough plan to make sure we do everything I think Craig and Chester will want to do. Luckily Craig is not really into the Big rides he just loves the fun of all things Disney so really I just need to concentrate on the smaller rides and maybe some shows? The only one we have done at dlp is playhouse disney! We (me and Craig) have been to WDW a few times and love Mickeys Philharmagic but I do not think there is anything similar at dlp is there?

Our Eurostar back is (I think) just after 6pm so will we even have time for a character lunch?! ARGH!!!! there is too much to think about!!

I just can not wait to see his face when he realises where we are going! I have not told Chester either so its going to be magical. I now need to start thinking about things like can he get a birthday badge when we get there? and how to I find out his NI no with out him knowing as his E111 card has run out

Well done for keeping it a secret for so long. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't plan, it would be like torture. :rotfl2:

Sounds like a great trip - well done for keeping quiet for so long :)

Yes, you can share pizza and chips in Cafe Mickey - we've done that a couple of times.

It is really hard keeping it a secret!!!!!! Every time DH is at work and DS is at Nursery School I am quickly doing little bits, I feel really devious having to always delete my history and clear cookies :upsidedow . I am normally the one with a notebook filled with hints, tips, lists, menus :rotfl: Soooooooo hard, Craig will be so shocked when he finds out!

Excellent, glad we can do that in Cafe Mickey, I know we have eaten there before but I do think it will be the place that Craig will want to go and will be great for Chester to meet all the Characters. Some of our best memories from last time are of a only just 2 year old Chester shouting MICKEY..... MICKEY across the restaurant, we talk about it a lot!
