If you are looking to bash our President, would you please consider starting your own thread. This is safe ground for Bush Apologists to discuss the strategies and tactics they use to justify the actions of our President.
I will also remind those that wish to post here that Bush Apologists do not engage in independent critical thinking. Our job as Bush Apologists is to validate the actions of our President no matter what. The last thing we need is for Bush Apologists to start thinking for themselves.
I bring this up because lately I have noticed that many Bush Apologists are foolishly dabbling in independent thought. I shouldnt have to remind you, but I will nevertheless: thinking for ourselves is always dangerous. It is my belief that objective political analysis has been the primary reason behind many of the recent defections from Team Bush.
Sure, recent events have left many of us Bush Apologists somewhat discombobulated. Sometimes I think the only thing that has prevented me from falling into the abyss of self-hating liberalism is the daily affirmation I receive from Sean Hannity. It is comforting to know that through Mr. Hannity, we Bush Apologists have unfettered access to Whitehouse directives and talking points. This has helped me maintain my role as an unthinking foot soldier in the Bush Apologist army.
For instance, just the other day I heard a neighbor saying he disagreed with Bushs decision to let our ports come under the control an Arabic company. Immediately I went to work. With a little digging I found out that this neighbor is a veteran who served in the Marines during the first Gulf War. I then confided to my other neighbors that this gentleman may have served in the Marines, but in all probability the medals he received were the result of lies and half truths he told his superiors. You know, just like Senator Kerry did in the Vietnam War. Thanks go out to Karl Rove and his Swiftvets for this strategy. Try it yourself sometime. Trashing someones service record is a remarkably efficient way to destroy a mans reputation. Im pretty sure my neighbor will think twice before he criticizes our president again.
In the meantime, though, we Bush Apologists have found ourselves a little light on manpower. So if you are a Bush Apologist and you have an easily swayed heterosexual friend who has shown a past willingness to defend indefensible points of view, please consider recruiting them to our cause.
