That area is so cool...It was after 1pm and we were getting hungry so we headed over to the Simpsons Area and ate at the food court here. I really enjoy the Krusty Burgers there for some reason!
I'm glad you finally got a chance to do it. And really, 45 minutes for a new popular attraction really isn't all that bad.The wait for Kong had gone down to about 45 minutes, and I really really wanted to ride it, so we decided to wait it out. The line took every bit of that time and was also a little creepy! There is one portion of the queue where a real person jumps out and scares you. No one had any idea about this and it scared the daylights out of us! There were many screamsI honestly didn't read much about what this ride entailed, but I heard a lot of positive things about it. It ended up being VERY cool and I'm glad we ended up waiting to do it! It's kind of hard to describe what kind of ride it is...it's not so much a simulator, but it is 3D and your ride vehicle does move around!
I can't imagine... you had quite the marathon day at Universal, even if it wasn't a terribly late night. We were so exhausted this night for some reason...and we had many long nights still ahead of us! After some showers it was off to bed. Back to the Disney bubble tomorrow!
It's fun to explore other Parks and Places....but there's no place like being inside the Disney bubble![]()
I'm glad you got to ride Kong!! I knew about the scare actors in the queue so I wouldn't go through the regular line. I asked the TM if anyone jumped out at you in the express line pretending I wanted to know for Paxton. Lol which I kind of did but it was more for myself!!! I still made DH go first to confirm though!! It is a really tough ride to describe but it was really cool. I was on the side closest to the Kong animatronic and it was so awesome up close!
Looks like a lot of Universal fun!
I actually shouted, "Yay" when I read, "but we decided to wait it out" about the Kong ride! I didn't know someone jumps out during the queue! (off topic, but that's kind of what scares me about HHN there...I want to go, but I'm afraid that if anyone snuck up on me or something, that I'd hit them by reflex or something! I know I'd scream, too)
It looks like you had such a fun time there! I'm going to have to start looking at dates to go back. It's been on my mind so much lately!
Sounds like a fun and productive Universal day! But there really is nothing like being back in the Disney bubble.![]()
This made me laugh, because the one and only time I went to HHN, I got scared by one of them popping out at me in a bunch of fog and hit him in the chest!! I was mortified!!!
That's totally what I'm afraid I'd do!!
We thought Kong was really cool as well, the one time we walked through the stand by line the scare actor wasn't there so we didn't see that. We did do the HHN and had a blast and I am a chicken. I also love Despicable Me!
Love your photos and report! We are wanting to do Universal one trip. Our daughter is finally growing into Universal with Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, etc., and your photos make it exciting to think about!

I'm not crazy about the idea of scare actors in the queue. I can totally see that freaking a kid out before you can even get them on the ride. It's easy to reassure them that it is just a ride and nothing can touch them, but when something jumps out in the line, that could be a different story!

I think the Akershus breakfast is great. My family has done it three times and it's really become one of our "must-do's". We enjoyed it more than the CRT breakfast, and cheaper too.
I love empty parks! They're just so peacefulCan't wait to read all about your breakfast with the princesses!

Walking through an empty Epcot must have been so cool! We have a PPO breakfast at BOG on our next trip, but I have a feeling MK will be a little more crowded PPO than Epcot would have been, and it won't quite be the same. Still looking forward to it though. Can't wait to hear about your princess breakfast![]()
We were going to go to Akerhaus for breakfast and changed to Garden Grill because of the AP discount. We may have to try Akerhaus next time. I love your shirt, did you make it?
Love your princess breakfast! I'm super picky about face characters' looks, especially Belle because she's one of my favourites, and when you met Belle she looked much more herself than I've typically seen her! That friend of Belle had a great look. And I know I've met that one of Snow White's friends before, too...
OMG found photographic evidence! I definitely did meet your SW...but it was FOUR YEARS ago!! Either she hasn't changed a bit, or she has an eerily similar SW doppleganger...

Breakfast looks fun! And a nice alternative to CRT for a breakfast meal with princesses. Love your shirts too! So cute. I bet the princesses loved seeing themselves on your shirts.
Love your pictures from breakfast with the princesses! It's been years since I've eaten at Akershus, so it's fun to read about someone else's experience. Your shirts are too cute!![]()
Joining! Loving your TR so far! And you and your cousin are absolutely adorable! Love your excitementExcited to read more!!!
