My 2 kids got an envelope, and in the envelope was a TOOTHBRUSH.... and a note reminding them to brush their teeth after eating candy..... Must have been a dentist's house. :rotfl:

What have yours been?

EDIT... BTW, these were Halloween themed toothbrushes.

We don't have any kids, but we handed out candy and we saw a few kids with cash in their buckets. This is a HUGE neighborhood. I wonder if they had to take out 200 bucks at the bank in order to cover everyone?

I don't think so.... my mom used to live on that street and averaged about 35 kids.

My friend just posted a picture on facebook- her son got a small animal SKULL in his ToT bag- and yes, it was real.

Only in Maine.:headache:

My daughter got three different advertisements (heating-cooling, cleaning service, and a church). At least they all came with candy.

:scared1: that is wrong on so many levels

Isn't that the most bizarre thing you have EVER heard of? Maybe it was a relative or neighbor they are close to who knew Alec would like it- but jeez louise! Please don't give my kid animal parts for ToT!:scared1:

BTW- Alec LOVES it. :rolleyes1

Yes but our neighborhood is HUGE. We had at the very least 100 trick or treaters. Last year it was more like 200. I think there were less because it fell on a Sunday. Anyhoo, WAYYYYY more than 35 kiddies out collecting in our neighborhood.

not my kids, but i remember when i was little an older lady was handing out pink plastic rosary beads (i thought it was pretty cool and madonna like ;))

Probably not too wierd but my DS9 was able to choose between play-doh or a can of soda. He chose the soda.

i remember, way back when, that a friend received a potatoe for Hallowe'en and I was so upset for him.

My DD got a granola bar, which she thought was a odd thing to get. She said to me, "Isn't giving me granola your job?"

Well we were in the little business section of our area (the pizza place gives out a slice, Carvel gives out ice cream, etc) well the kids walk into a body shop and the guys says sorry no candy, they say Happy Halloween and as they are leaving he pulls a $5 out of his pocket and tells them to go buy a bag of candy for themselves.

Nothing weird this year, at least that I saw. My DS16 did not trick or treat per se. He walked with a group of friends and played the Zorro theme song on his guitar at every house while his friend(dressed up as Zorro) struck a pose :-)

One year, the kids were given small cartons of chocolate milk at a house, LOL
