The strange things you eat

Cottage cheese with any kind of canned fruit, or most kinds, is great. I also like boiled tongue, though I haven't eaten it in awhile since no one else likes it.

I love breaded & fried squid and the tentacles don't bother me a bit. This makes my DH and kids cringe but I think it's hilarious:rotfl:

I love tarter sauce or even just mayo on fries.

People think I am strange for eating salad with no dressing. Other than that the only thing that I get told is weird is that instead of eating beef for red meat I usually get bison or elk. My main criteria for choosing any food is nutritional info which usually means I eat some non-standard things.

When I was in Italy I had horse, quail, pigeon, and rabbit. While not common here those are all common in different parts of Italy.

As a kid ...ketchup and butter sandwiches. My Nana use to eat them in the depression and fed them to us.

Leftover asparagus on toast for breakfast.

English muffins with butter, jelly and a slice of american cheese.

-When I make hollandaise sauce just for me, I make it with extra lemon juice so it's extra tart.
-The sole reason I eat hot dogs, chicken strips or fries is so that I can drench them in ketchup.
-I like cake the most when it's without frosting.
-I eat A1 plain sometimes.
-A lot of the time at WDW, my breakfast consists of dipping sausage in syrup... and that's it.
-I like pickles with ranch.
-I only like pizza when it's lukewarm.

Two words that shouldn't be in the same sentance, let alone the same bite!:lmao: Yes, I'm a hot dog with mustard snob! (It's a Chicago thing). However, you could follow that bite of hot dog and mustard with a french fry dripping in ketchup! :thumbsup2

I loved to eat white bread, butter and dill pickle sandwiches...haven't had one for years (don't usually buy white bread anymore).

Peanut butter and syrup mixed together and then I eat it with saltines.

Dipping my french fries in a mixture of ketchup and mustard.

My husband and sons eat all kinds of game- deer, elk, bear, duck, etc. They love fried alliagtor and fried frogs legs.

Oh and I forgot-escargot is one of my favorites!!

My DH eats applesauce sandwiches. DFIL will eat an onion like an apple. DS likes ketchup on macaroni & cheese. My aunt loves cottage cheese with grape jelly.

Like PPs, I like butter on saltines. Most of my food choices are pretty normal.

My hubby puts ketchup and mayo on pizza. My son puts mayo on steak and cheese grinders. I think both are disgusting.

One thing I thought was the strangest..about 6 - 7 years ago, I was out to breakfast with a friend and she ordered French Toast. When it came, she poured maple syrup all over it! In my 30+ years (at the time!) I had never seen such a thing. (I later found out almost everyone does it!) I was raised with only putting butter on french toast.

Anyway..I tried it and MMMMmmm. I called my mom right away and told her she deprived me as a child!:rotfl:

Isn't it funny what we consider normal?

Wow, are you from my family? My father introduced me to ketchup sandwiches at a very young age. I used to call it...bread and bear and ketchup togar. Damn I was cute.

My mother always had asparagus on toast.

English muffins with butter, jelly and cheese is also acceptable.

I was going to say...is there anyway else to eat it??

The only oddity I do other than the aforementioned is that I love Peanut Butter, Strawberry Jam and fresh Tomatoes as a sandwich. It tastes wonderful. Makes the tomatoes sweet. Many years ago, as a kid, I used to really like Peanut Butter and sandwich spread sandwiches. I don't even think they make sandwich spread anymore. It was quite similar to tarter sauce.

I don't know why, but I've always had this strange craving for cheese after eating anything chocolate. Well now, to maximize my time, I sometimes just put the sliced cheese right on the chocolate.

The other quirk in my diet is my love of garlic. I can't get enough. I put it on just about everything. A good day is when I lift my arm up to my nose and can smell garlic reeking from my pores.

Tuna sandwich with salt, pepper, ketchup and cheese. Can't eat it any other way. Also my DW drinks 1/2 & 1/2 by the pint:confused3
