Day 6, Part 2: "But that ain't none of my business..."
Outside, I had to stop at my favorite picture spot.
Then we made our way into the Pin Store, so that we could look around.
Sometimes I'm Daisy, sometimes I'm Donald.
We noticed that there were some people waiting by the pin board that is only open sometimes, we wondered if that meant it would open soon and decided that we would wait to see if it did while looking around.
It did end up opening and we were quick to jump in line to do some pin trading.
After we'd done some, we continued onward.
We went into Once Upon a Toy looking for a Mr. Potato Head for Marie's co-worker.
By that point, we were getting hungry so we headed to one of our favorite places.
We placed our order, got some water and took a seat.
I also did my best impression of Kermit drinking some tea.
Then my barbecue chicken pizza arrived.
But it was too hot to eat.
Meanwhile, Marie got a chicken caesar salad.
With our tummies full, we went back to shopping.
Wandering into the kitchen store where Marie and I fought the urge to buy everything.
We looked at Tren-D without buying anything.
And then we headed into the Marketplace Co-Op to get Marie a new Vera Bradley using the gift card we had gotten that morning, which should have covered the whole thing. Only, when they swiped it we only had $50 on it.
The cast member was actually more upset about it than we were when we told her, and she insisted in calling her manager to try and help us.
We went to the nearby DVC stand and they sorted it out by placing some calls, after which we were told that we had to go to the DVC center in the Springs. Which, considering how hot it was and how much we had wanted to leave, this was not welcome news.
Since we wanted to sort it out though, we knew we'd have to make the walk.
And so we did.
Past the Lego Store.
Past Nessie.
And into the new section.
Admittedly, it's gorgeous over there.
Look at the fountain.
At the beautiful water.
At the Alex and Ani store we didn't want to go into.
They did so well on this.
If it wasn't a million degrees and directly in the sun, we might have enjoyed it much more.
We went inside the DVC building, where they offered us water while they got us another $50 gift card. We drank the water, took the gift card and made our way back into the scorching sun.
We waved to Sprinkles and then continued on.
Used to the old layout, we made our way all the way back to the marketplace where we thought that the buses would be. That's not the case anymore.
Thus, we decided just to take the boat back to the resort.
I took a picture of the fountains first.
And then we got on the boat to make the trip back to Riverside.
Waving to the boat at Saratoga.
And the treehouses.
