Well that's good, considering it's on fire.

Not sure why the news article needed to add that part. Do many people shop at a store that's burning? :confused3

What a vague OP . . .

I had to google to guess what you were referring to. I learned that the Kardashian's store, Dash, was vandalized last night. But it's not like it's currently in flames -- something flaming was thrown through the window, and it burned out without setting the store on fire. There is some broken glass. Not sure where the Store is Currently Closed sign is, but doesn't seem that strange to me . . .

Or maybe you mean something else entirely

Perhaps the OP is speaking of the Walmart that had an explosion in the Tampa, FL area and is currently on fire--although under control? Just a thought--I listen to Tampa radio on the internet and it has been a topic of discussion. :) If not, :confused3

Okay, that might make more sense. It's hard to tell when all you can google is Store Closed Fire ;p

Kardashian is a store now, or has a store I guess? Is it a makeup store?

I'm not sure what's really vague about the post. I just thought it was odd that a news article needed to point out that the store was currently closed while it was on fire.

Of course it makes sense to you, you read/watched the story. Without the context, it's extremely hard to tell the meaning. A link to the story would have helped.

Were the newscasters saying the fire happened at a closed store (ie: a store that closed a week, a month, or a year ago)? Did the fire happen hours ago, it was put out, but the store is still closed?

what is vague about the post is What Store, Where?

I googled Store on Fire, and found out about the Kardashian store. After the other poster mentioned Wal-Mart, I added that to my search and found a story about the store in Florida -- but without a town, state, or store name it was a pretty vague post :lol

I'm very, very lost. I don't know one Kardashian from the next, and have no idea what this thread is about.

But I can see that in a story about a store fire, the information would let you know that there were no customers, and probably very few workers, caught inside a burning store.

And maybe some people enjoy watching a store burn down. . . especially a Khardashian store. . . especially if they're inside.

Think of the children!

The store and story really has nothing to do with it. I just thought it was amusing that the news article had to point out that a store that was currently on fire was closed.

I think people are confused because there's no store, story, or news article posted.

It feels a bit like we're listening to someone's butt-dial.

It generally refers to the intent of the store management. I've actually heard of a fire that took out a good portion of a store, but the management reopened that store the next day. I've also heard of some stores that were closed for several days after a fire or possibly never reopened under the same management.

I guess the most ironic fire I heard of was at a closeout store called Tuesday Morning. The first time that store was closed after that fire was ironically enough Tuesday morning.

And in Orange Park, FL, a furniture store burned the other day.

Maybe if it was a huge store and there was a small section on fire, a portion of the store far away from the fire could remain open. Who Knows?
