The Status Of Disney World

Thanks for posting...I saw this article earlier and thought it was an interesting read...

We just got back from Disney. We checked in at the BWV on Sunday, 9/16 and the resort was 10% full. On Monday, we started at Magic Kingdom and it wasn't deserted but there were no lines which made it wonderful for us to ride many rides without any waits. Everyday there were more and more people but still not much waiting in lines (maximum 15 minutes). By Saturday, 9/22, at Magic Kingdom there were many rides that were 45 minute waits. When we checked out of BWV there were many people checking in. The parking lots were much fuller.

Hopefully things are picking up. I spoke to many CM's who told me they were being laid off and a few who said they had been laid off but were called back. It seemed that either the CM was very happy and courteous to the visitors or they were very rude and annoyed that you were there. There was no inbetween.

We loved our vacation. People were much more patience, friendly, and courteous than usual. It was wonderful seeing many, many people wearing red, white and blue.
