The Spirit of Aloha, Luau Cove area at the Poly needs a complete do over.

The entire Spirit of Aloha, Luau Cove area of the Poly is in desperate need of reimagination. In addition to moving the Seven Seas Marina to the West side of Fiji and Tuvalu, The entire Luau show needs to be scrapped. The food is at best mediocre and the show itself is lame. The Poly is the only Deluxe resort without a true Signature restaurant. A well done, island themed (indoor) signature restaurant with a scaled back dinner show next to a new marina area, on the water facing the Magic Kingdom, would be a perfect addition to the resort.

Why do you keep recommending these major changes that WDW has neither the money (now) nor the will to do? You did a separate post about how the entire pool & marina need to be redone. Not gonna happen, so what's the point in complaining? The Poly is a nice resort. If you're not satisfied with it, there are other resorts. Other resorts to stay at, not to criticize lol.

I actually like reading posts where people have ideas for improvements etc to resorts, or even the parks. Most of them may not happen, but it's fun to imagine and dream about it, especially now.

For example, I've always wished for some type of walking path/bridge etc from AKL to AK. Multiple people had explained from an engineering or other POV why it can't/won't happen, and they may be right. But I can still dream about it tho! :)

Uuuuuuuh, little things really seem to bother you. No one says you have to read the post, or waste your time responding to it. They're just ideas. Will they ever come to pass, doubt it. But like said, they're just ideas.

I agree with this. I like Kona Cafe and Cpt. Cooks, but 'Ohana has turned into a factory assembly line experience. A true character (Moana?) or signature dining experience would be welcome. And the Poly is a draw for resort hoppers and could sustain another restaurant. The lines for 'Ohana attest to that.

For what ever reason they can't do it now, still makes no since why the original design of the AK Park/Resort didn't include a direct entrance. i.e. Grand Californian into California Adventure, New Star Wars Resort into DHS, or even something similar to the Beach Club/Yacht Club entrance into EPCOT. Completely short sighted IMO.

As a Poly DVC owner I for one would love to see a true signature dining location. To be honest...I say they missed the chance when they built those bungalows at that crazy point cost. Imagine a dining option out over the water in that location like what they did at Coronado Springs. Before anyone jumps down my throat...no I don't expect this and yes I know they don't have the money. But I agree with OP that a real signature experience would be nice to have somce Ohana os hit or miss and Kona is IMHO is a mediocre to good table service.
