:confused3 thats ridiculous !

Yes - but unfortunately thats what he is like! I struggled into London and he phoned in "sick" call me a skeptic but i didnt believe him.

Managed to get to my london office - left my house at 7am! got to the office around 10am. Only needed to be there for 1 hour!!! left at 11am - got home at 7PM! I eventually got on a train but it didnt go as far north as i needed and i had to walk the rest - almost 2 hours of walking through the slush! Plus as i was walking home some lovely chap in a posh land rover drove through a puddle near the road and completely soaked me head to toe! Normally i would have been really angry but i had just had such a bad day i just cried!

A question. An American here in the Heartland (Kansas) where we get tons of snow. How much snow have you received? I saw some Photos of the snow on the BBC site. I could not beleive that you have that much trouble with such small amounts. Im not saying it not a problem for you. Im trying to grasp it. Do your road departments not have plows, or anti-freeze sprays,or salt? Does it not freeze alot in the winter?

its very cold here this morning :sad2: no snow overnight tho, so at least i can go out and get the shopping :thumbsup2

We still have lots of snow on the ground which has turned to ice overnight. :scared: They are also forecasting more later & tomorrow! I am really sick of it now we have had it everyday this week. :sad2:

I think its because our towns etc aren't built for that amount of snow. We don't have salt tyres or chains and the gritters don't have as much grit in stock as maybe your places do.
Plus its snowed in places which never normally see snow.

The snow is nearly away here at least
here is a few photos which DS took to day

Morning David,
I thought it was a set-up at first, but I think it's real and very scary!

Hi Joanne,

I think it is real and it just shows that even if you think you are OK driving in the snow you never know how others are going to be. I once had something similar happen to me where I had slid down a hill and managed to stop by driving into the kerb. As I was sitting in the car composing myself I saw in my rear-view mirror somebody else sliding and she slid right into the back of my car, shattering one of her windows but, luckily, not doing any damage to my car.

Great pics! :thumbsup2

Has anyone else still got lots of thick snow on the ground? It doesn't seem to be going anywhere & I am so fed up with it! :faint: :sad1:
