No more snow here overnight, just sleety rain. I hope Strictly at the O2 isnt cancelled tonight, I'm so excited and I'll get there if I have to walk

Hi everyone, snow day here too, the kids are off again and i am fed up with it all now to be honest. I am supposed to fly out of luton tomorrow afternoon and hoping for a reprive long enough to get me to the sun but will have to wait and see. Apparently the roads are blocked here too, no buses running so we are stuck for the time being. I wish you all a happy snow day though for those that are enjoying it

I hope that it all clears for your flight tomorrow Claire.

We have had another 2 or 3 inches overnight & they are forecasting more. Quite a few roads are blocked so everything seems at a standstill around here. Thankfully we don't need to go out today so we will stay indoors in the warm.

Most schools are off here (expect Molly's). Snow deep so I walked her down and I'm only just back! However met a friend on the way who I haven't seen for ages who is as nutty about Disney as us lot and so had a nice chat about Sunny Orlando!

Our forecast for tonight+tomorrow is more snow,i really hope they have it wrong+i hope were somewhat back to normal by the weekend as Emily has a party to go to Sunday+Chloe is representing our borough in the Gymnastics Competition.But the sky is as white as anything up there.Last night+early this morning we have had drizzly rain+sleet.Both my girls were in school on time today-NO late marks .x.

I have a snow day too, as does DH. I think all the schools in our town have shut and the police have closed a lot of the roads leading into our town and told people to only drive in an emergency. We have about 7 inches in my back garden right now and the forecast is for snow all day!!

I looked out the window this am and it didn't look too bad, but I got a text from someone I work with and she said the A45 was closed (we live near Riverside off the A45) I went outside and 'sunk' I couldn't beleive how much we've - it's like when I was little and it used to snow 'properly'

We are gonna see if Pizza Hut at Riverside is open and walk over for lunch, if not Maccy D's will have to do

Me too - we have just walked into Calne to Sainsburys and it's all slushy and dirty and horrible. The kids (well, two of them) are bored already - snow days were fun when they weren't here and I could spend all day DISing and watching telly with no interruptions

I am so bored too! I had a million & one things to do this week & haven't left the house once because of this stupid snow!

We are having Roast Pork tonight....I bought a British rolled joint (belly) after watching that programme last week. Let me know what you think of the shoulder is Joh as I want to try that next.
