The Smith's "yes, we are to Disney AGAIN" PreTrip Report!

One week, One Week, There's only one week left!!! And it's a short week (THANK YOU LABOR DAY!!!)

My to do list this weekend:

Print out all the information that I have stored on the computer and my last two iron on DISigns
Make my last two shirts
Laminate my index cards and anything else that needs to be laminated
Finish DD's Epcot outfit
Finish her little purse covers
Organize the rediculous amount of snacks that I bought yesterday at Target
Glitter up my Ruby Slippers
Finish making the Pressed Penny Tubes
Do my budget for the week :scared1: so that I have maximum spending money!
Laundry :laundy: , clean DD's Croc collection, and give her beloved puppy a well deserved bath!
Pack :cheer2:

Can't think of anything else I should be doing. Can anyone else think of anything I should be doing???

I can't think of anything else you should be doing. It looks like a pretty good list. I love laminating, it's so much fun! Yes, I realize how sick this sounds. :lmao:

My DS9 who dances did a duet with girl as the scarecrow and dorothy to "Ease on down the Road". I worked on the red shoes. It was harder than it looks to get them glittery (and of course still dance-able). There are some costume outlets that sell a red sequined cover for shoes. You might be able to take a look at them and design something like that for yourself. We settled with a plain pair of ballet shoes coloured red with a sharpe marker (we tried the die and ruined two pairs of white petticoats) and we sewed on red sequins to the elastic that runs accross the top of the shoe.

Oh no! Ya, we will see how the glittering goes. If it doesnt' go well...there will be no Dorothy for me!

Thanks for reminding me that I need to go get Aisling's dance uniform and shoes!

You might want to ease your body back into carbs and start your buffet training:banana:  If you were here you could go train with me:goodvibes You wouldn't want your body to go into shock after you've deprived it of all things tasty:rotfl: I'm only going for the food:confused3

No, no, no. I'll be stupid and not eat any carbs until I leave and then pay for it with horrible stomach aches in Disney from eating crap...I'm brilliant like that!:rotfl: BTW, it's day 13 without any carbs!!!

Kingdom Keepers 2 came in today!!!!

I pre-ordered it (it was released this week) but Amazon was saying delivery scheduled for 9/5. Great...I'm leaving on 9/5 at 7am. BUT Amazon didn't let me down. It was delivered today!!! Now, I have to avoid reading it all week (since it's a "vacation" book)

I was Dorothy one year for Halloween and I used spray glue to adhere the glitter. It worked pretty well. You just have to repeat the process a couple of times. And it looks like Hanna should be missing FL now. Let's hope it stays that way!

Thanks...i did use spray adhesive and so far they are looking pretty good...I'm still watching the hurricane site like a hawk!!! (in between my projects of course!)

:goodvibes Most ppl don't accessorize using weather. Very creative Kristine!
One uping Dorothy with an actual hurricane was brilliant. I have convinced
myself that there is no need to worry about the stroms because you are using them for props:goodvibes That is the only way I'm bording that plane.
I didn't realize we were leaving at the same time. Neato. Call me over the weekend if you get time:yay: Oh and you are really devoted to go off carbs for that long! I'm so proud of you!! :wizard: I'll have to eat some carbs here for you while I'm buffet training:scared:

Hmm...buffet training...now that's something I could do! :rotfl: And mistymouse, I'm going to go over to your report right now. Those darn wish trips always make me smile! Hope you have a great trip! :goodvibes

~Beka~

You know what is never a good idea? To go through the menus of the buffets you'll be eating at in Disney when you are trying to diet!!! I just went through them all to find out what will be the cheapest (we have to pay for one meal OOP since CRT is 2 credits). I was drooling over all the food choices.

AND has anyone ever looked at the price for V&A's??? It's $125/person plus $60/person for wine...want cavier...another $125 for a 1/2 ounce! Yay, I'll never be eating there!!!

I've finished most of my To-Do list for the weekend and I still have tomorrow off. My big project for tomorrow is laundry :yay: :laundy: :yay:

GO AWAY HANNA! :cheer2: GO AWAY HANNA! :cheer2:

I'm always up for cheering! And I don't think I would do V&A's either. I read someone's report on the dining board about doing chef's table there and they had pictures of all the food and it just didn't seem worth it. Plus we have such fabulous restaurants here with much more unique ingredients! Portland used to have the most restaurants per capita in the USA! I think it's still up there, too! Mmm...food....

~Beka~

Go Away Hanna, Go Away Hanna :cheer2:

Go Away TD #9, Go Away TD #9 :cheer2:

Seriously, everytime I check the NHC the outlook looks worse

Portland huh? I didn't realize that there were so many restaurants up there. I think the only one I've ever been to was the Village Cafe (Italian place). But that is sadly gone now. It used to be really good. My favorite place to eat in Maine though is The Clambake in Scarborough. Nothing fancy. Just good ol' fashioned seafood and drinks that come in sand buckets ;)

I just started on your PTR and I see you are leaving in 4 days! :cool1:

I'll do the chant

Go Away Hanna!

Go Away all TDs!!!!

Now back to catch up!

I just got the worse news...yes, worse that Hurricane Hanna, TS Ike, and two other tropical cyclones in the Atlantic....THEY GOT RID OF THE TOLLHOUSE COOKIE ICE CREAM SANDWICHES at WDW!!!! I was reading another TR to pass the time when I discovered the sad news. :sad1: I didn't eat any carbs for 15 days in anticipation of those ice cream sandwiches. :sad2: The upside is no carbs in 15 days means I lost a pound a day...that's right...I've lost 15 lbs in two weeks :yay: It's almost enough to bring me out of my hurricane/ice cream sandwich depression. :upsidedow

I can't believe you've lost 15 lbs in two weeks! When I did South Beach, and yes I followed it to a tee, I lost maybe 2 pounds in six weeks. At which point I gave up. I guess it proves my point that I have no metabolism. I'm def one of those people that need to exercise to lose weight. Oh well. Yay for you! I'm not so sure I want to take pictures with you now, skinny minnie! And we are so not thrilled about Hanna. Although DBF is the one worrying, I like to think that everything will always work out. I have pretty good mojo most of the time. :goodvibes Also, Portland is a big foodie place. Lots of yummy gourmet food! But you can't beat seafood right off the boat either!
