My boys each made a sign to hold and wore Star Wars t-shirts. They're really not good at jumping up and down but they were the first picked. Actually my older ds was first picked then another boy and then after I started frantically pointing to younger ds, they picked him - lol, I guess I did the jumping up and down for them!
They ended up being on the raised center stage. They really loved this experience and wanted to do it again but I thought since they were already picked, it would be nice to give others a chance (I always feel so badly for kids who don't get picked). They didn't get their signs back which I would have liked because they worked a long time on them. We were told that the Jed master liked to read them but I saw them unceremoniously tossed in with the discarded cloaks.
Btw, this show is very entertaining for adults too. The arrival of Darth Vader, Darth Maul and the stormtroopers is very impressive and the Jedi master keeps up a very funny commentary. So check it out even if you don't have kids!
