Hi there!
This is going to be sad excuse for a trip report but feeling really bad today but want to get it out of the way!lol
Well as you know there is me Katrina, my husband Paul and 2 kids Jade (8) and Joshua (3) We went from 25th Januaury til the 30th.
This was to be our first stay at the cheyenne hotel so was looking forward to all things new!
Our flight was from Edinburgh at 6.10AM so we got there for about 4AM, wasn't to bad actually and the time went fast..eventually got to the resort about 11ish which was good!
First impressions of the hotel was ok, very cowboy like and cool!lol Got our room, got to admit I was put off with the strange smell in the block (billy the kid) and the carpets on the way to the room seemed dirty but hay the room was spotless so that was fine!
We decided to go straight up the park and get a bite to eat...Mcdonalds it was, Joshua couldn't eat anything as his mouth was covered in ulcers with being ill! (he soon made up for it later in the holiday)
We spent the day just going around and taking it all in....boy was it busy!!
There was scouts and school kids everywhere...madness!!!
We watched the parade and Jade got a kiss from Aurora I went all teary as it was packed and she picked her out and pointed then blow a kiss! We did a few rides and decided to head back to the cheyenne for the buffet!
Now the half board vouchers are brilliant, loved using them, so much value for money!
On the Monday we got up really early as the park was open at 8 so we did loads of rides, the kids loved it! Found out Jade was tall enough for Space Mountain so off she went with her dad for a shot or 2! She loved it and went on about it all the time!
The crowds were pretty heavy after 10 but managable!
We went back to the hotel to warm up and have a nap, then went back up the park about 2 ish and did more rides, Joshua went on Star tours and he screamed 'yeeehaaa cowboy' all the way through! I was mortified! He also managed to get on BTM this year, he said it was too noisy for him though!
Did anyone notice how squeeky and crunchy the dumbos were? They need fixing and cleaning, I don't know if its the amount of negitive posts recently but I did notice a decline in the cleanliness of the rides...some were pretty bad!
We went to Annettes that night and that was brilliant but who the heck can eat all they give you? I only ate half and I was gutted, again this was half board and defo worth it!
They sang grease and freedom so that was ace, the kids were clapping and dancing a wee bit!
The other days kind of followed the same path to be honest ...
we ate at the cheyenne for the rest of the nights as we thought it was ace and we found out that between 6 and 7pm certain places weren't charging for under 7s so we got extra drinks with Joshuas vouchers!
that was 9 euros worth of coke extra every night!
We watched the parade every day bar one..the crowds were getting alot less during the week which was great! At one point captain hook and the pirates whispered to each other then charged towards Joshua....my poor boy got such a fright!lol They also had pocohontas as a dancer one day!
The weather was actually ok, only one day we had a kind of drizzle thing going on!
Now Stitch what can what can I say? My wee boy is in love...he was smitten with the crazy wee guy! Joshua 'found' a stitch plush in the Travelodge in his name before we got our flight and he carried in everywhere! Jade found a Doc and when we got back from dlp and had to stay in another travelodge they went hunting for more..and they were dissapointed!!hehehe!
But apart from all that is was character stalking and rides and we went to Mickeys winter wonderland...that never bores me, absolutely fantastic! Pauls highlight of the whole holiday was turning a corner and seeing 4 princesses waiting to get there photos taken with everyone....
And yes he did get them taken!
Sorry the report is poor but its the best I can do right now!
Oh just to mention how could I forget?
I saw 3 or 4 CMs shouting at people to get in line or they wouldn't get a photo!! Was well pleased with this attitude and people that skipped the queue were getting put right back to the end!
I need to get 500+ photos printed but heres a handful or two of some
