Its really sad that if you don't agree with something or have your own views you are not respected and are condemned. To each their own, some are pro gay marriage some are not, both opinions need to be respected.
I seen a fb post where Disney rainbowed the castle. I don't have anything against this and have a lot of friends and family that is excited about this. However, although I'm gold, I might have to cancel my next cruise if I see dcl rainbowed. I don't want to have to explain to my kids why the colors that they know so well, have changed.

Some families may not agree with this and don't want their children to be influenced. I just think the rainbow light on the castle was out of line.
I guess you don't like looking through prisms. It was lights, not paint on the castle, World Trade Center, White House and other places. It is also a celebration of equal rights for everyone. Anyway, the influence that your children will receive is the message of intolerance by you.
I think Disney does do a pretty good job appealing to both sides. For example take Christmas time at WDW they have the Candlelight Procession that tells the biblical story of the birth of Jesus. They also have Santa Claus all over the place during the holidays. Disney is certainly a family place and they sure do a great job at that each day they also appeal to others by having Christian Nights and also Gay Day at the Parks. They do a great job appealing to both sides in my opinion. At my company we aren't allowed to put up Christmas trees so we don't offend non christians. Whether Disney agrees with the decision or not, they should appeal to both sides here. And don't start attacking me because of my post. I could care less since we each answer for our sins of the world so I have my own battles to fight!

Well the Rainbow Castle is most likely just something that is only going to happen one night. It isn't like they are transforming the Castle for several months to a year or so like they have done with other things and celebrations.I am talking about the rainbow castle specifically
How do you explain rainbows in the sky to your children. Do you run indoors and shut the shades?I seen a fb post where Disney rainbowed the castle. I understand that the SCOTUS decision goes against some people's personal beliefs and that is fine. Just remember that they are your personal beliefs. Others have beliefs that differ from yours and the majority of the people seem to be in support of yesterday's decision. Most of the nation is in celebration mode. You do not need to celebrate if you do not want to, but you need to understand that you are in the minority.
Love is love and the world needs more of it these days. I'd paint my cat rainbow colors...if he'd let me.![]()
They do use the Rainbow Coloring on the Castle at other times like you said at the beginning of the Evening Shows. The picture from yesterday(even if it was an old picture) was posted for a specific reason and that is what I was saying Disney is not going to light the Castle and keep it lit in Rainbow colors for many days in a row because this image was just used for a specific reason. I for one am glad they shared the image of the Castle like that and making a stand for something the must believe in. I can also understand people getting bent out of shape from this because they do not personally embrace this belief themselves. People can certainly agree or disagree with the Disney decision to display a picture like that yesterday but it is not going to affect Disney's actions in future situations like this. The castle appears in rainbow colors regularly. It is just part of the show lighting. The picture that was used was even an old picture. For example see this blog post from 2012 that uses exactly the same picture as the one that was previously included:

If they were to light up a castle in rainbow colors, they would be able to do it much much better now than that vague distribution of colors that the picture shows. They have start of the art projectors with mapping technology on both the DL and the WDW castles for the evening shows. They could make a perfect rainbow if they chose.
I just wanted to add this as the whole discussion starts with a wrong piece of information - and that is never a good thing. Regardless of whether one loves a rainbow castle or not.
