"The Server" Is Really Pushing Me To The Breaking Point!

They need a couple more servers with a load balancer, and the database needs to be on a raid array with plenty of spindles thrown in.

The Google ads that now appear in two places on every page of this entire website - 1)between the thread title and the thread itself and 2)at the bottom of the page.

ETA - I take that back...I just looked at this page after I posted and the ads at the bottom that I saw earlier are missing, seem to be no longer there.

*Plus* they also seem to be themed to our place-names (like I'll see an ad for a pet sitting service in Virginia) and they seem to sometimes be tied-in to what is being posted or tied-in to the theme of a particular Board. Like I'll see "potty-training" ads sometimes on the Community Board or the Family Board, but I don't think I've ever seen them when I've been looking at the Transportation Board.

I've noticed that on some of the color themes, the banner ads don't show. Like, I changed mine to Serenity Green & now I don't see the ads

The (sorry Pete, but I really do feel this way) jarring Gooooooooogle ads (for Potty training aids, Dog Sitting, Universal orlando resorts, etc, etc.) ONLY show up when you choose Orlando Blue or Default. For every other color theme, the ads magically disappear! Yay! I'm off to change my color theme.

PS - It was wierd when the ads first appeared, that there was a strip of them at the top of every page *and* a strip of them at the bottom of every page. At least the double-dipping ads are no longer with us.
