I am really pleased with the fact that BLT has a second bathroom in the one bedroom. I would not have bought at BLT if it did not.

With the BLT points being high, 28 pts for a one bedroom, lake view in January, we will be splitting our time between that and a two bedroom at OKW which is 26 points per night.

It works for us. :thumbsup2

Was it an important plus for you?

I like it, but it wasn't a dealbreaker for me. I like the fact that both AKV and BLT have them - especially given that the 1br sleeps 5 in both locations. Of course, after staying there a few times, I might feel a bit differently and really miss the 2nd bathroom if I stay somewhere else!

Absolutely it was a big deal for us, and for me especially. In my family, sleeping arrangements break down like this: my parents in the master bedroom, my brother in the second bedroom (by virtue of being tall and whiny, he is exempted from the pull-out bed) and me in the living room. Having my own bathroom is a GIGANTIC benefit, as I don't really want to have to walk through either my parents' or brother's rooms to get to one.

We really didn't look through all the DVC material and compare rooms/resorts or anything when we bought at BLT. We went for it strictly because we wanted to buy and we believe we will like it better in the long run compared to AKL. Now that we are planning our first trip home with my in-laws staying at SSR and friends of ours staying at SSR also, it is nice to be able to brag about the 2nd bathroom in the 1 bedroom at BLT. That will be a huge factor when we go because it will be me, DH, DD (2) and my parents, but having a kitchen and washer/dryer are equally important. Can't wait!!

no walking to the MK!:cool1: or should say back from the MK - when the other transportation system are overhelmed.

I visited the samples, and I don't like the fact that the studios have no sink in the bathroom. The sink is in the kitchenette area, along with the kitchenette sink.

only OKW has a sink in the bathroom.

all the other studios - have their sink in the hall area with the kitchennett behind them.

with BLT they just closed the space. This was pointed out to me.

Well we didn't buy into BLT but we did buy into AKL for the second bathroom!! We also loved the fact that AKL one bedroom sleeps 5 and since we are a family of 5 that is very important to us. We get more out of our points that way. Everywhere else we would need a 2 bedroom.

With 2 DD's and myself those 2 bathrooms will come in handy in the near future.

In all of the other resorts--except some of the very first rooms built at Old Key West--you do not have to walk through a bedroom to get to the bathroom. There are separate entry doors for the master bathroom and the master bedroom.

That was a huge plus for me! That's why it took me so long to decide between BLT and AKV. Both have a one bedroom unit that sleeps 5 and has a second bathroom. I picked BLT over AKV just because of the walking path to MK and the closeness to the monorail. I'll probably end up doing an add on at AKV and at OKW in the future (for the two beds in the studio). :)
