Tell me about this ride! (Is it a ride?) or is it a big aquarium? I'm not super crazy about "real" fish.

I avoided this attraction in March because I thought it was just an aquarium:fish:

But is it? Or is it a finding Nemo ride?

Yes, and yes. You board a clamshell moving vehicle that takes you on a journey where you see the characters from the movie, and lots of fake scenery, not unlike the Little Mermaid ride. By the end, you start to see real fish in a giant aquarium with the Nemo characters superimposed so as to look like they are in the tank as well. A pretty cool effect. After you get off the ride, you are in an aquarium setting with lots of tanks with fish, manatee, rays, jellies, sea turtles and some hands on displays. You can also go to the "Turtle Talk Wit Crush" show which is sort of like a small version of the Monster's Inc. Laugh Factory where Crush talks to the audience in real time.

You start out like this.......

It's a finding Nemo ride, much like the Little Mermaid ride at MK. Except Nemo's story, of course. It does exit into the Seas pavilion, so you can spend time looking at the aquarium stuff if you want. Or you can just exit the building and avoid the fish. I love this ride!

Only the very end of the ride portion shows any real fish. The old Living Seas version had more real aquarium scenes, but they've been covered and replaced with animatronics. Once a thte Seabase, you can look at the fish or not (they are in different alcoves). Turtle Talk with Crush does not involve any real fish. I'd at least take a look at the manatees. If none of that interests you, just exit through the gift shop.

Both and it's one of our favorite things to do in Epcot! Not only is it a sweet and timeless ride, but the air conditioning is amazing!
