The search for the perfect park bag

My search is influenced by what I carry with me. I am like Corey and Kathy, I must have my DSLR with me most of the time. This trip I am trying my Vera Bradley back pack. The bag itself is light, and as a back pack, it distributes the weight over both shoulders. I have noticed stress on one size when I use a sling pack. Also, I am trying to keep the bag on the smaller size, because we all know to quote John the Genius, "We are like lobsters, we grow to the size of our shells." Or as any person knows, whatever bag you carry on a regular basis, get filled. The smaller the bag, the less stuff, the lower weight to carry.

Very funny, Mike. I actually have that Tamrac backpack. The only thing I don't like about it is getting the camera out, you have to tip up the top part. I might use that to carry the camera on the plane and pack the Vera Bradley.

2nd attempt...


I carry a Lowerpro 250 Backpack. This is my "NEW" Park Bag. I just need to add my LMGH. (Funny thing Kim, I was having the same problem with getting my camera out. The camera would just end up out all the time.)

I do have the smaller Tamrac without the storage on top. I want to find a photo backpack with easy camera access. I don't want the laptop space. Just makes the bag heavier.

You both are putting in the mood for a backpack. I have a camera bag I take on trips that slids on top of my rolling computer case.

I try not to take too much into the parks with me. I do feel like I should exercise more with my cameras because they get heavy quickly in the parks.
