The scoop on the bluezoo!!!

Just got off with Disney Dining. The bluezoo will be accepting reservations tomorrow! (I made some at the Flying Fish just in case, but we didn't think it was great the last time we went -- altho it was good the time before...)

Tomorrow is my last day to make reservations... BTW, I had to wait 22 minutes for 12/31, 13 for 1/1 and got RIGHT in for the last two days!

Looking forward to trying the bluezoo...

I believe it is under construction. It's at the Dolphin, slated to be finished before the Christmas holiday. The 300-seat restaurant, will occupy the space of the former Coral Cafe, and be run by Boston chef Todd English. It is designed by architect Jeffrey Beers, who also designed Jiko and Boma at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I think it specializes in seafood, but I'm hoping my picky daughter will find something else to eat! I'm excited. I wanted to try something new after being disappointed at a few places!

i did the same and came up w/some choices. i just typed in Bluezoo Restaurant. weird.

Dotterson - I just called WDW-DINE and they did not have any info about this restaurant. Is that where you called and got the info?

Do you know what date they will start accepting reservations for? I am hoping it will be open by Dec 13th...

I had also called the Dolphin directly this morning (before reading your post), asked for someone who would have info about Bluezoo and was connected to the Concierge person and was told that they were not releasing information to the public about the restaurant yet but it was scheduled to open early next year.

Fresh, however, is slated to open within the next 2 weeks and will be a "Mediterranean" restaurant open for breakfast and lunch only. Bluezoo is to be open for dinner only.

When I asked to make a dinner reservation for 1/3/04, the woman said that they just got a memo this AM that the restaurant will be accepting reservations starting tomorrow. She didn't say when exactly it was opening for dining tho (Dec. or Jan.)

I can't imagine they would want to miss the holiday (pre- and post-)!

It's interesting that the Concierge wouldn't know... Strange, to say the least! I will try tomorrow (since I need to make more reservations anyway...) I made one for the Flying Fish, can make another for Wolfgang Puck in a month and can still check on the bluezoo in the meantime...

It really makes you wonder when some staff knows what's happening or not!?

Belle5, yes it is also at the Dolphin; one of the restaurants is going where Juan and Onlys used to be, the other is going where the place that served sit-down breakfast used to be (can't remember the name off the top of my head).
