The Saga of our Disney Dream home - It's about time!

Maybe I am best equipped to answer this as the head office for Co-op is right here in Manchester. The Co-op here in the UK is a chain of usually smaller grocery stores that are owned by members. The profits are shared with the members. They are very community orientated and support local community projects. Apart from the grocery stores that they are best known for, they also have a number of other businesses like a bank, insurance, travel agencies, drug stores, etc. Corinna

Spot on - thanks for passing on the info!

You're not allowed to park a U-Haul in front of your own home? Even if it's for a day or two?!

Those cabinets are MASSIVE! I'm excited to see it all filled up with figurines:banana:

Cool cabinets! Where did you get them? I am sorry if you said I don't recall reading from where. How amazing they were from a Macy's! They are perfect for displaying your gorgeous things.

No way re rule about no trucks! Lol. I would sleep with one eye open too! Are those the largest items to be moved?

Those cabinets are awesome. I would love something like that for my Disney stuff (but I don't have any wall space anyway, LOL).

I can't wait to see the pictures when you get them filled :thumbsup2

I am FINALLY caught up :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Bad DIS friend but oh my it has taken me forever to get caught up. And I'm not. But I am slowly making progress.

Too much to totally comment on, and in no particular order but...

Did you get the tub fixed? It's so big I'd think even leaking while filling could be a fair amount of water.

I hope the fridge is cooling now, how very frustrating.

I am totally :rotfl2: about the paranoia of the neighbors seeing how many cats you have. Exactly how many is it?

Cat City looks more like Cat paradise. Those are some loved kitties!

But...hmmn. No other place than the FR for the litter boxes? That would be a bit hard.

I am very glad to see you have dishes and silver and oh, those tomatoes look good!

You've made a ton of progress since I was about 8 pages behind. The cabinets are going to be great for displaying all your treasures. The kitties seem to be doing well and have plenty of play structures.

OMG! Somehow I managed to unsubscribe myself to my own house report!

I really like those cabinets. They are going to be a great place to display all your figurines!

Jill in CO

I know! I can't wait to see them done!

WOW ! Fantastic to have scored those display cabinets Your collectibles are going to look awesome in a proper showcase:thumbsup2 You must be so excited thinking about what will go where That is going to be fun I am very happy for you both :goodvibes

It will be a tough decision, we have so many things!

Nacho is funny! Love people with personality.

The cabinets are awesome. I was thinking they look like department store display cabinets. I worked at Bullock's (remember Bullock's?) for years as a young teenager.

The pantry looks great!

I'm not sure what they had in them, probably purses or dishes.

What a task to get the cabinets in, but oh my are they going to look amazing!

Everything is coming together slowly but surely. How about the fridge and the bathtub?

Everything is definitely slowly coming together.

:rotfl2::rotfl: Unsubscribed from your own thread :lmao: oh wait a minute  I only have one and haven't touched it in months...never mind :tiptoe::tiptoe:

Miss you guys :wave2:

That sounds like a major task. I love the cabinets.

Corinna

As of Wednesday when I left for my trip they were still in the same state as the last update. I wonder if anything happened while I was gone.

You're not allowed to park a U-Haul in front of your own home? Even if it's for a day or two?!

Well technically no, but I'm sure it would have been OK. The thing was that the weekend before we had let the band park a truck in front of our house and it was HUGE!!! 25 feet long. We didn't want to push it only 4 days later. We still have some more big moving to do and will need to park the truck there for that.

I'll be excited if they are installed when you come over tomorrow!

Craigslist. That is Fran's new favorite website. The guy that we bought them from used to be a Beatles memorabilia collector.

We still have my wine cabinet and a couple other large things, plus a piano, but we'll use professional movers for that. Until we get the glass doors onto the cabinet, we don't have room to move anything else.

Look at that furniture! It's looking great.

Thanks!

I can't wait to see them filled up! Right now I would settle for assembled. They need a pretty large wall space. That was the only place in the house they would fit.

I am FINALLY caught up :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

I'm glad you're caught up. I'll answer most of the questions in the next update. The FR isn't the only place for litter boxes. We have them in the hallway and one of the other bedrooms, but we had to have them in either the living room, dining room or family room. Since the other two rooms were places where we knew we would entertain guests, the Family room lost for hosting them. Most of the time with guests we will hopefully either be in another room or in the kitchen part of the room.

This cabinet looks like the cupboard from Beauty and the Beast

hmmm. That didn't work!
The yellow cabinet on page 72

I know which one you mean. I never thought of that!

How did I miss your first meal????? Your tomatoes are looking GOOD!!! :thumbsup2

We have been having that salad almost every other night we have so many tomatoes!

You've made a ton of progress since I was about 8 pages behind. The cabinets are going to be great for displaying all your treasures. The kitties seem to be doing well and have plenty of play structures.

I hope that by the end of this month I have a ton more progress to report. I have a bunch coming up now.

So let's see...

Tub. Fixed.

The walls have been painted and are all done.

Fridge. Cooling to 37 degrees F.

They also had to install a solar powered far to exhaust the heat out of the attic. That has been done as well as another fan on the other side of the house just to keep everything cool.

Pantry. Done.

Stocked.

TVs in Olga's, the Master Bedroom and Bathroom Mounted.

We have been away since Wednesday and they were mounting the TV in the Family room when we left. I'll explain the difficulties with that one when it's done and completed. Who knows what they found once we left. Hopefully the cabinets have been mounted and completed as well. We get home tomorrow and we'll see what progress has been made at that point!

Yeah for the tub being fixed Great pantry I knew it was but seeing it stocked makes a better picture I love your bathroom and FairyFloss is right That yellow hutch IS like in B & B Have a great time tomorrow w/Leshaface wish I could be there with you all

Would you mind telling me what the color/shade of paint is in the bathroom ? I find it very soothing & we need to start painting again

Things are really coming together! I bet the you guys and the kitties are loving it!

YAY for the tub being fixed. Is that Basil/Bagel in front of the tub? Did I remember correctly?

The pantry is looking great. Is the walk-in fridge all fully operational now and holding the appropriate temp?

And :lmao:. Well done for managing to unsubscribing yourself to your own thread. And I will never admit to forgetting to subscribe in to threads I start.....:rolleyes1

A lot has been done to your house since I have checked the last time. It looks very nice and glad to hear that it is coming along really well.
