Tuesday 25th July
We did IOA and Universal today as we were using up the last day of the ticket we bought in 2001.
Its now $10 a day to Park which I think is a rip off by US standards.
We were at IOA by 8.40 and the gates were already open. We headed straight to Spidey
with no wait and from there to Suess Landing and did the new ride High in the Sky Suess Trolley Train Ride which was originally Sylvester McMonkey McBeans very unusual Driving Machines when the park first opened but they never opened this ride due to some safety issues.
This was the view from the ride.
This had no wait so we were soon on our way to One Fish Two Fish.
Maddie and I did Jurassic Park and Ripsaw Falls and they all walked onto The Unicorn ride twice in a row!
We HAD to go to the Croissant moon for Coffee and White Chocolate and Macadamia Nut Cookies before we left the Park at 10.30 to hop to Universal.
First we did the Mummy with a 15 min queue for the lockers followed by a 15 Min wait for the ride.
We also did MIB, Back to the Future and Shrek 4D all with queues of about 15-20 Mins so not too bad without the old fast pass system.
When we came out of Shrek he and Donkey were there and my SIL had said that Donkey was really funny so we had to go see him. The first thing he said before we had even got to the front was hey someone throw ketchup all over your head there son.
Callum had let one of his numerous female friends die his hair just before this trip and he had been counting the number of comments he received over the 2 weeks. Donkeys was number 26 and by far the best.
Donkey IS a must see the wit is very Eddie Murphy!!!
Callum after Curious George Play area ( even at 17 and 16 the kids still like it here!)
The Horror Make up show is very good and even appealed to the British sense of humour.
We grabbed a ..Heres that word again delicious milkshake from Schwabs Pharmacy mine was Snickers and Theresa had Strawberry, It was so thick with strawberries Theresa kept blocking her straw and had to finish it with a spoon.
We did T2 3D and still love this show.
We left at 6.00 as we were too tired to stay for the new fireworks and lights show.
Theresa and I went out for a nice meal at Landrys Seafood House I had Top Sirloin and Lobster and Theresa had Beef Medallions in a mushroom sauce this was the best meal of the whole trip, it was del ..Whoops nearly used the D word again. Callum ordered Pizza in and Maddie had us pick up a big Mac on our way back to the resort after our meal.
Here is that Kevin Stringer line again
Tomorrow is the first day of our holiday as we are off to.................. The Magic Kingdom.
