The Running Thread - 2026

Any feelings about Sweaty Betty leggings? Our costco has them in 3 colors right now for about $35/ea.
Haven't tried their leggings, but I have a pair of their fitted shorts that I like to wear for shorter races because they're comfy and I can fit my phone in the back pocket. Only downside is you're not supposed to put them in the dryer.

what if, much like the "not dishwasher safe" items I own, I just really believe in them and that they will adapt?

because if I can't machine wash/dry it, it's not coming in my house

I suspect it's because any fabric they call anti-stink has this same label. Something about high heat can erode whatever they infuse it with to make it not stink. It also impacts wicking fabrics, though I dry most of my stuff at low temp without fabric softener.

I own one air-dry rack, which is only for my athletic apparel: sports bras, compression shorts, spandex leggings. I do think that allegedly the wicking and anti-smell materials are supposed to not react well to the high heat of a dryer, plus a lot of the stretchy type fabrics don't do well with that. I kind of figure if I only have enough stuff to fill the rack once per week, it's not that big of a deal, because they can hang until I use them again, if I want.

Happy to report I took your advice and was able to finish! Might have been my slowest marathon time ever with a lot of walking but knowing my limitations, I decided to make the most of it by finally eating the famous chili cheese dog at mile 5 and doing a shot of fireball at mile 23. A different kind of PR if you will 🤣
That's called a "PR in fun" and potentially indigestion, with the chili dog and fireball combined with physical activity 😂

Same. I’m not going to hand wash, but I have no problem hanging to dry. I air dry all of my bras and a few select exercise items.

I know a few folks that just wash some items while they shower and that wouldn’t be so bad….

My rD race shirts and other moisture wicking shirts that I want to last get to air dry, ditto for my running shorts where the drawstring likes to catch in the dryer lint trap and get all twisted up. The rest gets the dryer on medium heat.

I keep seeing laments about the demise of RnRC by Aerosmith and how it was/is a bad decision by Disney.
I am firmly in the camp of wanting to keep the full Aerosmith Rockin' Roller Coaster experience, but.... Aerosmith sold their music catalog to Universal Music four years ago. Unclear if maintaining the license was deemed too expensive, or if Disney wanted to update/change the theming anyway. Probably both.

I like "Can you picture that" as much as the next Muppet Movie fan, but I'm not sure what other music they'll be using. Will it be some of the pop music tunes played on The Muppet Show over the years? Could be. If so, how many different tunes will be utilized for the ride? Which tunes have the upbeat tempo that the ride deserves?
Thoughts?
