ATTQOTD:
strength training.
strength training.
I echo all of this! LOL… it better help because it is hard sticking to itATTQOTD: I’m sure there’s plenty I could do to improve my running: eat better, sleep longer, stretch more, strength train more, run more days per week, etc etc. But as a hobbyist there’s only so much I’m willing to do to improve. I don’t drink much soda, and I’m not willing to cut out my 1-2 cans of Coke per day. Nor am I willing to cut out snacks I enjoy. But I do try to eat enough protein and make sure I’m fueled well for runs. I would love to get more sleep but work and a kid prohibit that!
The one thing I am trying to incorporate now is strength training. I’m doing 3 times per week about 20-30 minutes at home, which isn’t a lot but fits in with my schedule and I watch TV while doing it so hopefully the habit will stick. It better help, because I hate it! lol.
Indeed… even more when my brain believes I’m very young despite the body giving clear messages of the opposite… LOLThis getting older thing is rough sometimes...
I resumed running at age 54 and I feel so much better these days.Indeed… even more when my brain believes I’m very young despite the body giving clear messages of the opposite… LOL
But.. I give myself credit for start exercising at 48 yrs.. it has boosted my feeling- young soul
Right?! That was a pretty amazing couple hours of sport.Wow! Millrose games produced some world indoor records: 3000m for Grant Fisher and Mile for Yared Nuguse. Really exciting racing.
Mid-60s here today!Who else spent their early morning dressed and ready to run but waiting impatiently for the temperature to get above zero? It paid off though, no wind for once and the sun was beaming!
Send it this way please! Pretty please!Mid-60s here today!![]()
I went out when it was 9F but fully agree that it almost felt nice with the sun and lack of wind.Who else spent their early morning dressed and ready to run but waiting impatiently for the temperature to get above zero? It paid off though, no wind for once and the sun was beaming!
