The trend line may be flat at the moment, but overall is in the correct direction. Stay on it and good luck with the recovery. It is my finished two weeks of running update. I was worried because last time i tried i did not make it past run 6. I am ready to do run 7 tomorrow. I think I will have to keep my 1 run 2 walk interval though. I noticed on Thursday my knee was more sore than it had been, but saturday was ok. I will add another interval though. I will be up to 10 intervals so 10 minutes of running. I see PT next week. I was hoping to increase run time after that but i might need to just keep adding an interval. it is progress.
Hmmm. If you check credit card transactions, any evidence of payment? So, the weirdest thing has happened to me. I could swear that I signed up for a 5K this coming Saturday. I added it to my race spreadsheet, my training plan, my phone calendar, and my upcoming races countdowns app. I even bought a new Sparkle skirt for it!
But I have no record of actually signing up. No registration email, no transaction record, nothing. When I google the race, it comes up on all sorts of websites, but when I click the links on those sites to go to the page for this specific race, the page is not found, and the organizing company isn’t showing it on any of their socials.
So I guess I’m not running a 5K on Saturday, which is a bummer, because there was supposed to be ice cream and bomb ops, and American flags handed out at the 3 mile mark so everyone finished carrying a little flag![]()
To everyone who gets out there (safely) to get their workout done, I dedicate this piece of cold juicy watermelon. It was T+D of 145 and rising before 7 am this morning for my run --the "coolest" it will be all day.

T+D was 147 for me this morning…….NOT normal here. This was payback for my beautiful run in the rain yesterday where it was 55 degrees. I think I died a little today. You're unfortunately preaching to the choir. When I went out for my speed workout yesterday morning at 5:30 it was T+D of 148. I looked at my watch and it actually reads "Oppressive" for the dew point.
The problem is, I can’t figure out where the race is, exactly. That’s why I went looking for my registration last night-to double check the details.Hmmm. If you check credit card transactions, any evidence of payment?
I'd say if it isn't too much of a drive, go Sat morning and see if there is indeed a race and their IT is simply having issues.
The ice cream and flags sound cool, but the bomb ops do sound a bit concerning.... ;-)
I wish that I could empathize, but this is my normal until mid to late October. This is running here in South Florida (cue Olaf)....IN SUMMER!!!!T+D was 147 for me this morning…….NOT normal here. I swear I don’t know how you southerners do it.I wish that I could empathize, but this is my normal until mid to late October. This is running here in South Florida (cue Olaf)....IN SUMMER!!!!

Slowly. Very slowly. With a lot of complaining. That’s my strategy, anyway.I swear I don’t know how you southerners do it.
I didn't get that, but I got a notice it increased my estimated max heart rate after my run Saturday. I live at altitude so it doesn't get humid, but that sun has power.Anybody else get a crazy-high stress reading on their Garmin when running in the heat?
I'm assuming that there was a pretty drastic change in the temperature when you were running. If so, then that is completely normal and expected.Anybody else get a crazy-high stress reading on their Garmin when running in the heat?
Lotsa sweating. Shame sweet tea (or now, semi-sweet) doesn't have essential electrolytes....I swear I don’t know how you southerners do it.
This might be a "fun" game. What's everyone's T+D today around midday? Mine is 162 in South Florida.Lotsa sweating. Shame sweet tea (or now, semi-sweet) doesn't have essential electrolytes....
Looks like T+D is right at 150 today at noon.
Looking back on Saturday, 97 + 72 degree dewpoint. I'll leave the math as an exercise for the class, as my profs used to say.
I'm guessing it was around 140-144 at race time on Sat morning. Plus we had the mist rising off the river, so plenty of humidity to go with....
154 at 12:22pm here in central MNThis might be a "fun" game. What's everyone's T+D today around midday? Mine is 162.
93° + 70°DP = 163 on the Tampa Bay coast. Humidity is only 51% and it’s freakishly windy! This might be a "fun" game. What's everyone's T+D today around midday? Mine is 162 in South Florida.
