We have done this excursion a couple of times. You are taken by bus to board a catamaran and sail to Rum Point (maybe 30-45 minutes). Once you are there, they reserve a section of the beachfront just for Disney but you can walk around anywhere. The beach is very tropical but not very big. It's nice for small children because it is fairly shallow for a ways out. The reef and pier are a ways out. We have never really had good snorkeling there - probably because we didn't go that far out. We rented wave runners once...kind pricey. I believe it was about $100 for a half an hour. (Red Sail Sports?) There are chairs and loungers and not a lot of people. Very tranquil. The lunch that is provided is very generous portions and really good! Rum Point is without a doubt our favorite stop on the cruise - that, or
Castaway Cay - but for different reasons. You will love it!
