The rope drops at MK...now what? What is your secret strategy?

Back to bed?

Sorry but I've never gotten up early enough for the rope drop at the MK. :rotfl2:

I'd tell you, but then I'd have to kill you. ;)

Peter Pan or Buzz Lightyear for rides. Main Street Bakery for a Cherry Turnover or Strawberry Shortcake for breakfast. Wait as Casey's for the Trolley Dancers to come out and preform.

Depends who we have with us, small kids-fantasyland. Otherwise we head to Splash Mountain and then Big Thunder then move clockwise. Our family does not like constantly crossing the park to not hit lines. We hit Tomorrowland and just use fastpasses for SM and ride CoP and TTA while waiting for window to open. We return at nighttime for Adventureland (love jungle cruise in the dark!).

We head straight to fantasyland and knock it out of the way. Then onto tomorrowland and get it done. We do this with and without the kiddos, fantasyland is tradition regardless of who we are there with! It's the only time we walk quickly all day and it always works for us, we can get fantasyland done in less than an hour and then relax from there.

mainstreetfan - Thanks for reminding me about the cherry turnovers. God, they are good! I must get one when I'm in MK two weeks from today!

But it will have to wait until late morning, because when the rope drops, you better believe I'm heading to Fantasyland so my kids can ride the rides with no lines.

::MickeyMo We run and get a FP for Space Mountain and then hit Fantasyland (no one is there, it's a great time to do WTP and PPF)! We did 4 rides in 30 minutes there! Then we head to HM and then BTM and SM. It's great! ::MinnieMo

We usually hit the rope drop at MK twice during our week. One time we start out by hitting BTMR and Splash Mtn first then working our way to Haunted Mansion and Fantasyland. This works especially well during early entry. (if it is a little cool we skip Splash till later). The other time we go right and hit Space Mtn and Buzz. I do not do Space so while DH and DD are there I am getting them a FP to do it again after Buzz. This year we'll have to work Stitch in there too.

Only been there 1 time for rope drop although we went straight to Fantasyland.

We usually skip Dumbo and ride Peter Pan, teacups, etc.

FantasyLand is a good choice. Once we turned right into Tomorrowland and did Stitch (right after it opened), Buzz, and Tomorrowland Speedway -all in about 30 minutes. That was actually the only time we have done the speedway because it is always so crowded later in the day.

Dumbo. We find that if we don't ride this first thing we never want to wait later in the day. The kids love it, but the line always get so long. After Fantasyland we head to tomorrowland. The only problem with this plan is that I can't even tell you the last time I rode splash mountain.
