All first timers for WDW, DL in 2000
Day 8 - What a dilemma. We were to go to Epcot today but DH and both DS love rides, and there was a big discussion on what to do. We finally took a bus to MGM, we rode rides, and then we went over to Epcot around 11:00. Big mistake. Everyone loved Epcot and we should have spent the whole day there. We didn't get to do and see a lot of what we wanted to do. Both DS were fascinated with the interactive displays, loved SE, the countries, etc. TT had 45 minute wait, so we took a FP which was to return around 3:45, so we only got to do it once. Lunch at Japan was delicious. The parade was incredible, and the life size puppets would swoop down and touch both DS. But Illuminations was Disney all the way. We are still talking about it. What a wonderful end to an incredible vacation.
Day 9 - Return home and to reality.
All in all, we had an absolutely wonderful trip. Being rookie first timers, we didn't have much to compare except for our DL trip. I guess that helps in a way, and we are all pretty easy going. So no real gripes. DH and I were discussing how some people get so bent out of shape about small things while they are on vacation. Just being with both DS and enjoying them and all of the Disney magic was incredible. CMs were outstanding, chatting with us, and we saw lots of smiles. Can't figure out why more people don't use FP, this saved us a lot of time. We got lots of stares from the other line like, what in the world are we doing going to the "head of the line". Go figure.
We ate mostly counter food as we were on a semi-budget, if there is such a thing, and we were impressed with even just the counter food. Pecos Bills was our favorite. We did well by eating something small at the Food Court, then the bakery at the parks around 11:00, then lunch around 3:00 wherever we were, then a small snack late at night. I think when we go back to WDW we might want to try some different restaurants. This worked out good for us though. ASSp was a good choice with children. Yes, it's small, but very accomodating with the kiddos.
I want to thank everyone for their help in answering my questions over the Boards, and all of the tips and stories. What a tremendous help. Ya'll are awesome!! We hope to return to WDW in a couple of years!
