All first timers for WDW, did DL in 2000
Here is our overdue trip report. Left 02/07 and returned 02/15.
First, for rookies, I think we did pretty good. DH and I managed to balance our two styles of laid back (him, except for crowds), and commando (me) pretty well. If I had not researched everything on the Boards and read the recommended books I know we wouldn't have been able to do all that we did. Both DS had a blast. DS 7 is still in a state of WDW magic and thinks he is going back Spring Break. Both DS had their Winter Break when we went.
Day 1 - SW, non stop, and 20 minutes early! Mears Shuttle was okay, had to wait about 1/2 hour. ASSp was very accomodating on where we requested, and had a very enthusiastic CM. We thought this would would be a day of getting settled and resting, but both DS really wanted to go to Race Rock for dinner. That turned out to be a very funny adventure on getting there, it took quite a while as we took a bus ASSp to MK, caught the ferry to TTC, caught a city bus to Intn'l Dr. then took the trolley to Race Rock. This took a lot longer than we thought, but both DS loved it, and the food was excellent. We then voted on a taxi to DD, and stayed for quite a while for dessert and shopping. We then took the bus to the CONT just to ogle, and both DS wanted a ride on the monorail. We took the monorail to Epcot, then took the very last bus to ASSp. Tired but happy!
