Live in NY, and occasionally crave this....Any good here? I usually opt for a burger and shake here.

TIA!

IMHO the reuben at The Plaza is better....but don't be expecting to find a Katz's type reuben anywhere on property.

;)

I tried the Reuben at the Sci-Fi and was not crazy about it. Nothing like the ones I can get here in NJ.

I had it and it was yummy but I prefer the one from the Plaza

That's EXACTLY what I was going to say..... In 2009, I had the ribs (yuck) and DW didn't like her burger. In 2010, I thought the reuben was good but nothing compares to Katz Pastrami / Corned Beef! Seeing the poster was from NY (maybe NYC).

Here's the SciFi Reuben

Was going to reiterate that you should not expect the same quality you might get in a deli in NY.

Thanks!...I'm closer to "Artie's" (near Zabar's) than Katz, but I used to live down there...(I was vegetarian when I lived down there though :lmao: ...THAT"S irony!)

I just like the atmosphere at Sci Fi, and was hoping, not expecting! Thanks everyone!

It is definitely one of the better offerings on the menu, but if you can eat a good reuben at home, I'd pick something else as you're apt to be disappointed.

I liked it, but I'm from North Carolina. What do I know? :confused3 I also like the burger at Sci-Fi.

My DH and I loved it. It was a must at Sci-Fi. We do not have any deli's around our neck of the woods. We liked them so much then I tried to recreate at home.... not close. :confused3

What bothers me is that I know DS5 wants to eat at SciFi again! I can do it for lunch... Burgers, Fries, Onion Rings... OK for me. I thought the Reuben sandwich was pretty good. The meat was good, lean, not too salty, tasty, but sliced thin, plenty on the sandwich. DW didn't like it because it didn't have much sauce... but I like it that way.

I like the food and milkshakes at 50s Prime Time better...
