I got so far behind I actually had to use the links! :scared1::scared1:

I am so ashamed. :guilty: I will do better from now on, my friend! My dis-ing has been way too limited. Possibly because right now I'm not sure when, or if, I'll be back.

Back to WDW or back on the DIS? I hope neither is true....

Like the new glasses!
Derek, what did you end up with?
As for the leggings, there are so many who look just like that on any given day here, I probably wouldn't even have noticed her.
Love the pic of Dylan in his Mickey costume! What a cutie! Such a brave boy to go on TT!
We love SS for lunch, too!:thumbsup2

Thanks Tammie!

I wouldn't have noticed her had I been with everyone else, but Erin was occupied and Ashlyn was asleep so I was just people watching.....

I am going to have to try something different at SS next time. Maybe the rotisserie chicken....mmmmm

Lol. I'm pretty sure I would have grabbed my camera, ran ahead of her like I was going to meet someone then turned around, snapped the frontal pic without her noticing and whistled while I walk away slowly.

I woulda but I had the kiddies with me....

I did try that an all at EPCOT with an Oregon Duck ? fan all decked out in green. It was a sight. So I ran ahead and pretended to get Christmas shots. He was pushing a wheelchair and I swear he saw me b/c he started picking up speed when he got close to me.
this was the best i could do.

That take school pride to a new level....:rolleyes1

Holy Cow!!!!!! Are you in like Maitland? Altamonte Springs? I hope you enjoy the move:thumbsup2 Keep in touch and let us know how you're doing:thumbsup2
Ha! How'd you know all those places??? :) We are in Clermont!

I was so depressed in February- and to think I coulda met you and your gang! It was like the storm passed and then reality hit- we are not in the town we planned on being in for the last 6 months,we were in corporate housing that we weren't too happy over, BUT it was CLOSE to Disney and Seaworld, we were buying a house here that needs some love(foreclosure, but in really good condition and has a cool pool!)- and I can't get passes yet! Arrrggggg!!!! Hopefully in next dew weeks!

Now we are settling in and as you can see in my siggy, we are heading home to see family soon and we all are very excited!

We are spending lots of time on property not in the parks- and we haven't even touched on half of it- there is SOOO much to do there and I am gaining a much different perspective.

I did apply there for a seasonal/PT capacity but haven't gotten called or emailed. I am sure it is due to my limited availability since we homeschool and I won't work Sundays. I figured I didn't know how long we'd live here and i may as well try cuz I have always wanted to work there in some capacity. If it works out then cool, and if not, that is fine too!

So a little off topic, but today I was at the courthouse (yes, I'm STILL on jury duty) and I seriously saw someone in high heels, ribbed V neck sweater (only waist long), pearls, AND LEGGINGS!!!!!!! I seriously think she thought she looked good! I sooooooo needed a camera.

They weren't just tight pants, they were LEGGINGS!!!!!!! What is this world coming to?!?!?!? :confused3

I look at some of the stuff I used to wear in the 80s and go...REALLY?

You and me both. I probably even have some from our earlier WDW trips where I'm thinking "what was I thinking!!?!" I'll have to dig some up (selectively of course.. ha ha). :rotfl:

Oh my goodness. I've also been seeing some more of those ladies in them tight leather-like pants. I can't imagine how SWEATY it must be under those things! How can you skin breath?

Haha, I think Jordy's TR has become the "Fashion Police" thread on the DIS :lmao:

Tammie, I'm still researching glasses but I visited Lenscrafter tonight and am going with a different set of frames if they work out with my optometrist. Thanks for asking. I'll post photos of my visit if I can get on our Mac (Wendy beat me to it tonight).:confused3

The pic of the boy in the Mickey costume wasn't Dylan although it looked like a pic of my friend Kent's daughter Jessica (Kent is also my optometrist).:lmao:

You haven't read far enough. I posted Dylan's Halloween pic from 2 years ago on the boards. Hee hee.

Okay, I thought Tammie was referring to the earlier post with the other mickey photo. I figured something must be up because I just saw a mickey photo of Dylan in my Photobucket account...then I knew my post was out of date.:rotfl:

But again, it's tough when I'm relegated to the kids' PCs......:surfweb:

Here's an update with my latest frame choice (Raybans at Lenscrafter). Trying to research whether my friend, Dr. Kent, can get a better discount than the $178 price (with AAA discount) that Lenscrafter is offering (that doesn't include new lenses). Hoping to get VSP (Vision Service Plan) credit for new lenses with my friend. Thanks for asking.

Morning Everyone!! Escaping my neighboring country's revolution with hanging out with you... sheesh!! :sad2:

Love your new glasses, Derek!! Nice pick.

Are we still on leggings as pants?? Sans underwear?? I guess she wouldn't be very good at making us guess her chonies, eh?

Morning all !! My surgery was cancelled and am waiting for the new date :headache::sad2:

Rosie, I didn't realize you were having surgery. Please let us know when you reschedule so we can lift you up in prayer.....if that's OK with you that is.

:rotfl2:

I hadn't heard that saying before..
Pretty good, huh? :thumbsup2 Being a bigger size gal, I know when not to wear something.

It may be tight, but I think you can squeeze it in.

:rotfl:

Well, thank goodness for that. Even I don't get half the stuff I say.
Whew! The pressure is off now.

Why?!? Don't not come on because of that! We'll miss you to much.

Looooove SS. It's a hard toss up between that and the Tangierine cafe. SS wins out because the family is with me and they don't want to eat Med. food. :confused3 What's not to like?!?

Thanks !!! They tend to try to alot of stuff in the office now !! I have had it done in the office before and almost emptied the waiting room with my yelling :rotfl2: I guess they didn't want a repeat:rolleyes1

Boy isn't that the truth! They did an "in office" procedure on me once and I thought..."That was rather barbaric, did that really have to happen like that?!? But it did save me from cancer, so I shouldn't be so darn offended. :thumbsup2

:sad2: Who ever told women to wear them that way was seriously having a good day, I bet they are sitting back and having a good laugh now. Don't you ever think there is someone who creates a certain "fashion," just for laughs? That or to see if people will really wear what's put out there. :rotfl2: Like the Bubble dresses, and the different level ruffle dresses, they didn't look good in the 80's and they don't look good now. Sorry to those who bought the bubble dress.

Oh my goodness. I've also been seeing some more of those ladies in them tight leather-like pants. I can't imagine how SWEATY it must be under those things! How can you skin breath?

Reminds me of the episode on Friends where Ross wears leather pants!! :rotfl: He sweat so much he couldn't get them back on after going into the bathroom. He first tried lotion and then powder! I think he said it made a paste.

I like those, I think it's official, it's become an epidemic....I need new one's too now. Monday I had my eyes checked, on my birthday no less. :sad2:
I was able to skip one more year of not needing bi-focals, but I need to figure out which one's will look right on me. I'll have to have someone go with me.

I think we're moving on...I'm working on an update right now.

Well, that's a relief! I'm not sure how many more "heavy" bums in stretch pants I could have taken.

Moving on.... Update? Did you say "update"?? "Abracadabra, Let 'er rip!" :genie:

Chapter 19. Blast off! Again..and a little down time

So when I last left you dylan had conquered Test Track! and I had an unfortunate run in with leggings.....I'll spare you the picture recap....somewhere in the internet universe there is a collective sigh of relief..can you hear it? Can you?

Sunday, February 7th.

After our Test Track adventure, we had time to spare since Wendy had changed her ADR to an hour later. We decided to ride Mission: Space. Wendy loves this ride. In 08? she spent a few hours on her own and rode M: S 6? 7? times IN A ROW!!!!!! One order of scrambled brains coming right up!:scared1: That's what i call intestinal fortitude!

Wendy's mission was to get Kim to ride it. She avoided it in 08. She gets motion sickness. I don't know how Wendy persuaded her to do it, but she did and she convinced her she had to do the ORANGE SIDE. Wendy would make a good politician...;) You could tell Kim was very apprehensive and those continual announcements saying to get out if you get motion sickness, etc. certainly didn't help.
111.jpg

We rode and Kim survived, although she did NOT feel good. I'm sure she was picturing wendy under a bus somewhere....

After M:S, we walked out making a quick pit stop so Allan and Kim could use the restrooms...they used the restrooms on the right as you're exiting Epcot under SSE. I forgot to get a rating, but they weren't commenting on it. So it must've been okay. Remember, this is the restroom that got a 4 the last time. Me in 08 in front of said restroom.

We headed for the monorail back to BLT. I was joining them because I was babysitting so the adults could go out for a nice dinner w/o the kids. Here's Ashie waiting patiently for the monorail...yes, it was still cold.
112.jpg

When we got on the monorail, there was some minor technical problem so it took a few extra minutes to get going. As we were sitting there, we noticed this guy standing at the door. He kept leaning out of the monorail looking to see what was going on. I don't know if you've ever seen a tweaker before, but this guy had that druggie kind of vibe. He was very creepy. He would repeat the monorail spiel, but not in a funny kinda way. Anyways he got off at the TTC...
113.jpg

oops hit submit by accident..more coming...

When we arrived at BLT, Wendy gave me a room key so I could get into BLT (remember it's like a fortress) and I hit Contempo Cafe for a CS meal. I ordered a hot roast beef sandwich open face, a cup of soup, a cookie and a drink.
114.jpg

The CMs were all very nice. The CM at the register was flirting with me I think...:confused3 It was a HE. I was flattered, but didn't flirt back.
115.jpg

I remembering wondering why it wasn't it wasn't busy in here...Duh Super Bowl was starting pretty soon.
116.jpg

117.jpg

I headed up to the room. Wendy ordered room service for the kids. The adults were soon on their way to the Grand Floridian Cafe for dinner. I was alone with the kids. I fed Ashlyn. She's generally a great and easy child. I had no issues this night. Room service came and delivered chicken nuggets. I thought there would be enough for them to share...UM....I took the lid off the plate and discovered 4 nuggets and 15 french fries. Jesus, where are you when I need you to multiply this food? Oh that's right...fish and loaves of bread..not nuggets and fries....my bad. We supplemented the meal with leftovers and maybe a cookie or 3...:rolleyes1
120.jpg

As they were eating, I was trying to watch the Super Bowl as well. I was really into the game....go saints, but I love the Colts too. The game was really good! Oh.......yeah.....I'm supposed to be watching the kids too. Thankfully, no one was playing with knives.
118.jpg

121.jpg

The kids and I played this game where we all reacted to the "remote control", Dylan. If he said fast forward, we all started moving really fast. If he said slow motion we would all go realllly slow. He would say pause and we'd freeze. We did this for awhile and laughed alot. Erin and he would go back and forth...it was cool and a total uncle moment for me. It's one of those moments where I knew what it felt like to be a parent and the love you feel for your kids. then I had to discipline Erin for going into the room when I said many, many times that the bedrooms were off limits. Yeah, no parenting for me....

Okay, if you know me, you know I'm a clean freak. When it got close to the time for the adults to return, I started cleaning up.....call me OCD and I'd say "here"
119.jpg

Wendy and Kim came back right as the game was ending. They said Derek and Allan were at the Wave bar. I went down and had a beer with them, but headed out quickly because I was supposed to meet up with DJay, Cherie, Rosie, Cherie and family for MK evening EMH......
