La Madeleine's tomato basil soup in the jar is pretty close to the real thing - they sell it at stores around here. I never realized it was a Texas thing (and Louisiana, I guess, since va va voom's hubby works there).

They're out of Dallas. We have 2 locations here, 2 in New Orleans, 1 in Mandeville and I'm not sure where else in Louisiana.

The one date I went on was great, but she and I are both strong people with strong opinions...we were already disagreeing on issues....Theologically she's very, very, very conservative. very.

I see this woman for the whole weekend, we'll see what happens.

Would that be crazy if I met my wife here on the Dis?

Ok, there's the original La Madeleine post. Thanks for the hope of Sam's club carrying it! That would be nice. I loved their caesar salad and we often got the berries and cream for dessert. I don't know if it was actually healthy or not, but it was nice to eat such yummy food and FEEL like I was being healthy.

I don't want to know if it's healthy or not. I love their deserts. DH sends stuff for me to bring to work sometimes and the ladies love it. For 2 birthdays last year I brought their tiramisu. For teacher appreciation he did a tray of mini deserts.

Tracy, I'm somewhat late to the party but wanted to pass along a personal as well. I'm glad that I somehow inspired you to join the fun (I never really read DIS before joining but only heard about it from Wendy).

You'll have to join Jordan's Peeps (http://peepfest.ning.com) to become an "official" Peepster. I'm hoping that the Ning site can be a place to plan out future Peepfests and other gatherings.

BTW, Jordy, I mentioned to Kent N. about your imaginary friends, TR thread and Peep site and now Janet joined the Peep site and I gave her a link to this DIS thread. So you'll have to keep things on the down low.
