Grand daughter said a good one this afternoon. Her other gramma won't let her say "butt" but GD wanted to tell me that I was a pain in one.

Instead of the naughty word, she substituted one.

She told me I was a pain in the nose!!! ROTFL :p

Who's got another good one to share tonite?

We were waiting in a long line at the deli counter for our number to be called when my DD yells out, Hey Mom, have you ever had any of this sauercrap? Of course I turned red and ran over to see what she was talking about. There is was, a large bag of sauerkraut.

Needing to leave the house, I told my 4 1/2 year old to put his socks on. He followed me to my bedroom without doing so, so I reminded him again to put his socks on. After several minutes of standing in my room watching me get ready, I became frustrated and said, "I have told you twice to put your socks on. How many more ways can I say it?!?" He thought for a second, looked at me, and said, "In Spanish?"

I work with kids so hear funny things all the time. Whilst on a school trip once we were looking around the village we were staying in. A few of the children had gone to look at the church but one child refused as she said she didn't want to walk through the grave yard as it was full of dead people! True though. Another funny thing happened just before christmas. In England we teach religious education as part of our curriculum (we teach about different religious cultures and read bible stories.) We were talking about the christmas story when one child asked if God was Jesus's dad did that make Joseph his step dad. The boy had a fair point I thought!!

The other day I was trying to remember the date when my cousin past away. So I pulled out my Bible, where I keep the memorial cards. I started looking at them and my DS (5) came over to the table and asked me what they were. I explained that when people go to heaven we get a little prayer card to remember that person and to say the prayer for that person. He looks at me and says "so they are like trading cards for old people"

I was painting my toe nails yesterday (something I haven't done in a LONG time) and DS6 says, "Oh, I get it....you're putting makeup on your feet!" I thought it was funny.

A few months back we were hunting for a parking spot and he says, "Mom---there's one right there!!!! The one with the man going potty!" It took me a second to realize he thought the handicapped symbol of a person in a wheelchair was someone sitting on the potty! :p I then explained who those spaces are for and he got it..

A couple of week ago we were on the Big Family Trip to Paris; we went to Notre Dame Cathedral and one of the towers was in scaffolding for repairs. The 8 yr old looked at it and said "They're adding on!"

My DD4 attended our Church's young children's Christmas program in December where she learned the story behind Christmas. Last weekend she attended the Easter program. After seeing a picture of Jesus, she said "He's big now, he's all grown up."

Same DD had stitches this weekend after a fall in the kicthen. In the ER while the doctor was working on her, they had wrapped her in a sheet so she couldn't flail during the procedure. About half way through, she started hollering, "I want my arms back!"

DD3 was waiting in line for the cashier to blow up her balloon. She had a bad habit of picking the skin off her lips. We told her for the tenth time to stop picking snd she yelled out "I'm not, I'm picking my nose!"

I could go on all day!

When my DD was in kindergarden, her and my DH were waiting for me to get home. As all 5 year olds are, she was getting impatient and kept asking when I'd be home.

After a while he told her "after you count to 10". When she was done of course I wasn't there yet. DH thought he was smart. He said "I meant in spanish". (We live in Missouri. It's not common to speak spanish.) At that point my DD counted to 10 in Spanish.
What was hubby to do? We didn't know her kindergarden teacher had taught them this.

Just yesterday my 3 year old came out of his brothers room with big cowboy hat on wanting to be noticed. I said to him" well howdy partner " he took off his hat and said "mommy you're so silly it's me Alex."

I could not stop laughing! I love those little moments!

When my son was about 4, we were sitting in the car while DH went into the store, and we saw a little poodle in the car next to us. My son said, "oh what kind of dog is that?" I told him I thought it was a toy poodle and he said, "no it's not - I saw it move!"

Another time, he fell off the steps and busted his head open. The ER, instead of putting stitches in his head, put STAPLES in it. When my neighbors 6 year old came over after we got home, he saw Jordan's head and said, "Did you do that yourself?" LOL!

when i was little (my mom tells me all these things) she said when i used to get mad i would say "you make me mad and sad." and i guess pout. i remember one time my great aunts (who all look alike) were ones i didnt really see much and one was over at my gma's house and i said "are you mary or effie?" cuz i didnt know which was which. and when were out at my great aunt effie's house they had a dog named yogi so i asked where his friend boo-boo was. my parents were laughing so hard and i was embarassed.

During Spring Break two weeks ago we took our three children to Camp Snoopy at the Mall of America. During the busier time of day my youngest son (7) asked me where the Fast Pass machines where, the lines were too long. My My how I've spoiled that dear boy.

a few months ago ds was watching tv with his cousins. a commercial for a rated PG movie came on. my ds proudly informed his cousins that "PG means parental guidance included"
