The Remy Thread-Chefs de France (schedule in 1st post)

Thanks - that is alittle different from what I read - I will keep checking prior to my trip. Hopefully 2:00 will work for us.

Remy's cute...but I LOVE the expression on the face of the woman in the background. :rotfl:

Even more funny, is that I know that woman!! I was just scrolling through this thread to see what the deal was with Remy and saw it!!

Does anyone know what time lunch ends and dinner begins? TIA

we were there last week - our reservation was for 2:40, we got there a bit early and imho had the best spot! My friend asked our waiter about Remy - I didnt watch the clock - just enjoyed our time - and Remy did come to our table and did serenade us!

(When I just checked the video was choppy ?)

we had the corner table - viewing the outside (but of course when Remy comes, people stare, so its not for everyone!)

Now we finished near 4, - and we were told they close from 4 to 4:30

It was kind of obvious they werent seating anyone after us, just resetting tables for dinner - by the time we left, we were the last ones in that sidewalk area - there were about 5 other tables with people that we could see...

Helping my friend plan her family Disney vacation for October and her DD:angel: loves Remy....So we are planning them a late lunch on their arrival day at Epcot's Chef's de France...

I read on line that Remy makes an appearance apprx 4 times per day. Does anyone have any tips on making an ADR too see Remy???:confused3

Thanks for any help......:yay:

Well, We always eat an early lunch at Les Chefs de France. We go at 12 when they open for lunch and have a nice quiet lunch. The restaurant isn't very crowded at this time so we had a lot of time with Remy. He is adorable!

Call to make reservation and ask specifically about Remy. I believe they have the times when he appears. He goes from table to table so it takes some time.

An earlier post said he was there from 1-5 (I think?) at 20 minutes after the hour. I'm pretty sure the person said they made their reservation for 1:00 knowing he'd be around at 1:20. If you scroll through a few pages you should find the previous forum. I think the post was called "Ratatouille Restaurant"

I am seriously thinking about staying another day and visiting Epcot to visit just a few things and eat here so I can see Remy. Does anyone have any pictures to share. Also when you get to interact with him are you able to take pictures with yourself and him in the picture?

If you have children who will be crushed if Remy doesn't appear, and you can get by without telling them about Remy, maybe you shouldn't tell them. Not only is it completely unclear how long Remy will be in residence (Disney says "indefinitely" which may mean they can pull him at any time should they wish), but sometimes Remy breaks down. If that happens, he won't be in the dining room, but waiting for repairs.

I also wouldn't expect WDW-DINE agents to know Remy's schedule specifically. They also often give out incorrect information.

1) When our kids/grandkids were there, no pictures with REMY.
2) Some folks took picture of him, but had to stay seated.
3) The tables are too close to each other.
4) To be in the picture, you would stand immediately next to another table.
5) Folks don't want sweaty shorts/rears against their table/food.
6) Additionally, you cannot get up and walk over to REMY if you miss him.
7) Same reasons apply.

NOTE: REMY is on a rolling cart and cannot be removed from the cart. He is uncovered and moves a little, and squeaks in reply to questions. Obviously no autographs. He is not that kind of character. Then, he is off to the next table.

Since you asked for pictures here are a few from August of last year. We did not attempt any pictures with Remy and the family. We did not get a heck of a lot of time with the little chef but it was a good experience.

You got some really nice pictures of him. Thanks for taking the time to post your pictures. Now I just need to figure out if I want to add an extra day. :confused3

I made ressies for my birthday next Saturday at 12:30. I'm so hoping we get to see the little chef!! I'm not telling the kids though in case we don't see him.

Thanks for this detailed information! Makes sense, and helpful for us to know in advance - our older boys won't mind at all, but it will help to prepare our preschooler! Thanks, again!

He is still there. He is not there on Sundays. As with all things Disney ,it is subject to change at any time and without notice

I have heard it's been extended until at LEAST March 2010 at this point.
No word on if it will go even longer then that.

I'd like to know too as I think I might be interested in reservations if the kids could see Remy, he looks so cute.
