The Remy Thread-Chefs de France (schedule in 1st post)

after reading all of your posts, am I safe to assume a 12:50 lunch on a Wednesday we'd see Remy? Just want to make sure I shouldn't try to schedule for 12:30?

I am so excited I just found this thread! I love Remy, I've never had any interest to eat at Chefs, but if he is still around in mid-January I think I might have to change my mind!

We're planning to go to Chefs de France for one of our dinners on our July trip anyway, and just wondering if there is a chance he may be there. We go to dinner early and would probably make a 5PM ADR. We also get to our ADRs early. We'd probably walk over to the WS from Boardwalk Villas at around 4PM and hopefully make our way to France by 4:30 to arrive early for our ADR. It would be nice for the boys since they love Ratatouille!

Not sure how long Remy will be around, but we're hoping for a while. We have ADRs at Chef's for lunch in March for the sole purpose of seeing Remy. Based on the helpful info in this thread, our ADRs are for 12:30. I'll be sure to post when we return!

We didn't decide on Chefs de France because of Remy. We decided to go there because it looked really good and I heard great things about it. The fact that Remy might be there would just be an added bonus. I'm hoping he is and that a 5PM dinner ADR will be early enough for my boys to see him. If not, no big deal. I'm not gonna breathe a word of the possibility of him being there to my sons because I don't want them to be disappointed. If he happens to be there, let them be surprised and enjoy that!

Monday-Saturday at 12:30, 1:40, 2:50 & 5:20pm

Our ADR is 5:30. Do you think we'll be able to catch him? Maybe if we got there earlier & they seated us a bit early (this usually happens with us)? We didn't decide to go to Chefs de France because of Remy, but once I heard he was still going to be there for our trip (in 2 days! ), I was really excited & hoping we'd see him.

We were there on Sat. the 21st for lunch. We were seated at about 12:15 and we didn't leave the restaurant until a little after 1:30. No Remy.

Remy is animatronic...sometimes he breaks down. If that's the case, he won't be back out until he's been repaired.

We may be taking a short trip this spring and wanted to try a new place in Epcot. My kids would love to see Remy at Chefs de France. Can anyone confirm if Remy is still making appearances at Chefs de France? Also what would be the best time to see him? Should we have a lunch ressie or early dinner? Thanks.

Yes, currently Monday-Saturday, 12:30 to 6 pm (not constantly - there are set times he comes out - there is a thread here somewhere that has the schedule). Do not make a dinner reservation past that time if you want to see him.

There's no guarantee, though, that he will still be appearing in the spring. The only time limit we have from Disney is that he will be appearing "indefinitely" which will probably mean whatever Disney wants it to mean.

Thanks. I know that he may no longer be appearing in the spring, but if he was already gone then I wouldn't have made the ressies at all. At least this way we can hope he is still around. Do you happen to remember what the thread was that listed his schedule? Thanks again.

We saw Remy and his excellent handler again just last week.

He makes his first appearance shortly after the restaurant opens for lunch in our experience. We've seen him at that time in March, Sept and Dec. 12:15-12:30ish maybe?

Thank you so much. So would I have better luck booking a lunch ressie at 12:00, or do you think we'd be good with an early dinner ressie at 5pm. We were thinking of trying for dinner, but if our chances are greater to see Remy at lunch time I can try for that instead. Plus it helps that lunch would be cheaper!!

Can anyone tell me thier experience with lunch vs. dinner as far as the menu/food is concened? Which seems to get better reviews, lunch or dinner? Thanks again.

Just saw him 2 weeks ago! I was SO excited! We had an early dinner (4:30PM) and he made it around while we were waiting on dessert! He was totally cool!

Hope he doesn't take holidays off. I just made a 12:30 ressie for Memorial Day just so we can see Remy!

I'm glad I found this thread. We saw Remy when were were there in Sept. and I thought he was a perfect addition to the meal! We were at Chefs last Sunday for the CP dinner package (and I had the best filet of beef ever!) and I said to DH that it was a shame that Remy wasn't still there. Well, it's good to know we can see him again! We enjoy eating there very much.

He was fabulous.

I thought he was going to be discontinued for next year after the first week of January 2010.
