Let me start off by saying that I did this not because I think I need to do this as early as I am... but I'm working on a show right now where most of my work is before and after, which leaves me sitting at a table in the almost dark for 2 hours during the show... and my mind started wandering to disney.
DBF and I just got back in January from our first trip. Next time I'm thinking we'll want to go in the fall (still slow, but slightly warmer and maybe *crosses fingers* free dining again) of 2007 or 2008. Probably mid-september, but that depends on a ton since it's so far off. Anyway, I made a plan just for fun to see what our perfect trip would be. I'd love to implement it when it becomes time! Any suggestions? I'm actually really happy with it. (the EMH schedule I used for example purposes is the current one I believe)
Some things I learned last trip- we need to take breaks even if we don't feel we need to in the moment. Going in a warmer month will add the pool to the mix which will entice us to go back. Also, we need a sleep-in day or two and cannot go to many if any morning EMHs- DBF is much more cheerful that way, lol

Sept 2007 (or 2008)
Staying: hopefully POFQ, maybe Pop if money's tight

Day 1- Wed- Arrive, check in. Head to MK for a bit, then dinner at Artist's point (use 2TS points and order an extra entree) and back to MK for Wishes

Day 2- Thurs- Hidden Treasures of World Showcase tour in the AM, lunch at Teppanyaki afterward- 1 TS point and an extra entree. Then break at the hotel, and MGM in the late afternoon/evening for some rides and Fantasmic

Day 3- Fri- Animal Kingdom most of the day, then a break at the hotel, and Epcot in the evening for dinner at Le Cellier and evening EMH.

Day 4- Saturday- Sleep in, early lunch at the food court, spend the afternoon at blizzard beach. Get cleaned up at the park, then dinner at Jiko. Finally, the 9PM show of Cirque du Soilel (we went last trip and it was the highlight for both of us)

Day 5- Sunday- MGM in the morning/afternoon, break at the hotel, then Epcot in the late afternoon/evening with dinner at Rose and Crown, hopefully a patio table for Illuminations (1TS and extra entree again)

Day 6- Monday- MK in the morning/afternoon, then tea at the Grand Floridian around 3. Break at the hotel before going to MGM for the evening EMH

Day 7- my last two days are open for repeats and things we've missed so far. Probaby will start the day at DisneyQuest and then go from there. Dinner at California Grill timed for Wishes

Day 8- repeat favorites/last minute things before departing for our flight

I didn't plan in PI/Boardwalk excursions because I don't know what energy will be like each day, but I figure we'll do at least one night at each. What do you think? Suggestions? I know it's far away but I actually like this plan lol.

Our last trip was in December of last year. I knew before we went on that trip that I wanted to go to WDW for my birthday when I turn 40. I have been working on plans since November of last year and the birthday isn't until late October/early November of next year. So, you are so not alone in planning WAY ahead. Maggie

I agree that if you are an early planner you are in the right place!! I have our schedule just about set for October of 2007.

Obsessive planning is what many of us do best. I want to remain flexible with my schedule, but with 2007 prices coming out soon I don't think that it is too early at all to be planning for then.
