The Rebel Forces Were Strong But The Smith's Are Stronger TR-7/20 FINAL THOUGHTS

Love the photopass photos! It was worth the $ for the jedi pictures alone this time!

That wasn't even half the jedi pics either!

Can't watch the videos at work but I can't wait to see them! Love the PP photos! They got some great shots! And I love the one where Stacy captured Luke and Leia's reaction! I know - PP is usually the only evidence that I go on our trips too! I trusted DH with the camera once and won't make that mistake again - LOL!

Oh Randy is NOT allowed to touch my camera. Not that he would know what to do with it if I let him! :rotfl2:

Great pictures!

Thank you!

Love the jedi pictures but most of all I love the look on Luke and Leia's faces and the kids melting on the curb while waiting. :rotfl2:

Stacy did a great job of catching the moment in her pics!

I am loving your report! Your daughter is so darling!

Thank you! And :welcome:

Or Stacy took very few pictures of random stuff!

I am so glad you got the package. And even got the videos loaded to youtube! Mind if I send my parents the link? They saw the videos here but I am sure that they would love to show my grandparents.

I love the pic of the kids melting on the curb. It just pretty much sums up the day!

Wow! That was a long day - I kind of forgot you were still on day one! I can't believe you made it all day with such little sleep!

All of the PP pics are great! I love the Jedi training one's of Aisling!

P.S. I hope you'll come check out my PTR - I miss having you around for my report! :goodvibes

Of course you can send the link to your parents! it's on YouTube. It's public! I probably should have asked before I posted videos of your kids on the internet :rotfl2:

It's also because I did 7 written updates (plus photo/video updates) for 1 day! But it was a very long day!

Totally didn't realize that you had started a PTR  Heading over

Day 2 started out like Day 1 was supposed to...breakfast with Stacy's clan and mine in our room! After everyone ate and the kids checked out the animals from our balcony, they played everyone's favorite game...

PIG PILE ON RANDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

001.jpg

It's it as shame how nervous Stacy's boys were around my family whom they had just met 24 hours earlier?????? :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Now having been at SWW the day before, we had a definite plan of attack for day 2. Day 2 was EMHs at DHS so the park opened at 8am but the SWW stuff still didn't start until 9am. That gave us a whole hour to play before the characters came out. Shockingly we made it to rope drop again. It was definitely Stacy's influence because we just DON'T do rope drop. But we were there about 7:30am. There was already insane lines for the celebrities FPs for SWW. I questioned whether those people slept there. Dugette answered my question in her TR. THEY DID!!!!!!!!!!!! :scared1:

But we were all set with the celebrities. The kids didn't know who they were anyway. So you know where we were heading!!!!

Our plan was to ride TSM and then Stacy and I would head over to Darth Vader's line...which gets HOURS long...and Randy would get FPs for another spin on TSM.

Coming from their high of riding TSM- they were NOT thrilled to wait in ANOTHER character line!

011.jpg

We waited about 45 minutes for Darth to arrive but it was worth it

While we were there, next up was the Backlot Tour

Aisling was being particularly silly

018.jpg

I have to say again that I really don't like the redo of the Backlot Tour. I hate the animated storytelling (why have a CM sit up front if they aren't going to give the tour) and the Disaster Canyon area is really lame now. I mean it was always corny but the story was better before

Let's face it...this was the best time we've ever had on the Backlot Tour (5 years ago!)

BG.jpg

I did get a decent shot of the tower this time which was a bonus :thumbsup2

020.jpg

And I took some pics of the costuming area for my Disboutique buddies

Randy got the wrath of the Canyon but it was so hot...it's didn't matter

While we were on the ride, I got a call from Cindee (Livndisney) that she had arrived  They met us at the exit and hugs/hellos we were on our way to meet a certain mouse!

This line was particulary fun. As I mentioned, 4 characters plus R2MK meet at this spot. We already saw Minnie and Goofy so it was a gamble. We really wanted to see Mickey. We hopped in the line and ended up with CMs getting behind us telling everyone that we were the last to meeting. As the line went on we kept trying to figure out our chances about who we would meet. They all rotated through and as we were getting close, they rotated back to Mickey and R2MK. The nice CMs finally informed us that YES we would get Mickey :thumbsup2

The line was so long, we sent the Daddies for snacks/drinks. Someone posted on my FB to have a Churro for them. I don't eat churros so Stacy got one for the boys and posed with it ;)

029.jpg

(Thank goodness I'm in Boston and she's in Little Rock cuz she'll kick my bottom for posting that !)

Cooper continued his tradition of sitting on curbs

030.jpg

The kids sat around and plotted something

032.jpg

Finally it was our turn with the mouse

Group pics done...Mickey tried posing Aisling with R2MK. Maybe a SW fan would get what he was doing but I didn't at all. But it was funny seeing him try to pose her!

Jedi Mickey seen...our to-do list for SWW was complete. But we weren't ready to give up on DHS yet. popcorn::

I think Mickey was having your daughter re-enact the scene where the Princess has the droid record her message and then she presses a button on the droid that stops the recording(?)

Fantastic report! I am especially enjoying the photos with the characters. The interaction with the kids is great! Your daughter is the best Jedi!

Wow, super cool character meets! Dug really wanted to meet Darth Vader, but could never bring himself to brave the line. I didn't even know that R2MK existed! How cool to meet him and Jedi Mickey at once! Those things, along with TSM, sound like a good start to your day!

Thank you!!! I figured someone who's actually watched SWs would know what scene he was reenacting. But it was funny because she clearly did NOT get what he was trying to do!

It was a much better start. R2MK is new this year I think. He made the same sounds as R2D2.

I should point out that it was 11:30am at the point we meet Mickey. So that shows you how much time we spent in lines. Two characters and 2 rides and we had been there since 7:30am :rolleyes1

Here are the Photopass Pics from that day

Randy is so good to play along with all the kids! I love the morning game!

TSM, a favorite always!

Ash looks like Jackson in that picture where she is being silly!

The backlot tour does get more and more boring each time you ride it. I could skip the canyon part too. I used to love it when you went by the houses on the street, not sure why, but I liked seeing the Golden Girls house. My favorite part now is just looking in the window at all the sewing stuff.

The picture of the Stacy with the churro is so cute! Glad you were getting Mickey and R2MK.

Did you ever get to see Donald? I only saw him once, early on in the day. Kind of bummed we missed him but we didn't really try too hard either.

Love the picture with Darth. I love how thrilled they looked to be waiting, again!

The PP are fantastic...love your daughter's Princess Leia outfit...it's too cute!!!

Thanks for posting those promotional posters, they made me laugh:thumbsup2

Love the PP pictures and the promotional ones! Glad to see that M joined in on the fun! Look at all 4 cuties in those pictures!

No we didn't end up seeing Donald. I wasn't doing that line again! The kids had just HAD it with lines at that point. If only we knew then that the lines were NOT going away. We had heard that the other parks weren't that bad. As we now know...they were wrong ;)

M DID get to come join in the fun. The kids had a good time together...and Aisling was SOOOO excited to play with her "pen pal" :rotfl2:

Jackson's face in the darth vader line and with dv himself just sums up his morning. He was so mad at having to wait in LINES! Both the boys and Ash are used to riding whatever, whenever as many times as they want. Not so much this trip. Plus the pool was a huge draw. My boys would have been just fine hanging out by the pool for an entire day.

And yes, that picture was supposed to be of a churro not a churro and Stacy!

i love M and J trying to strike poses with Mickey. Jackson and Cooper just loved her. and I loved hearing her sing for me!

I think Jackson's face summed up how we were all feeling about those lines :rotfl2:

M is a great kid. Aisling asked this morning if we were going to Florida for her and M's "anniversary" I asked WHAT anniversary???? The anniversary of the day they met apparently :rotfl2:

Awww, Jedi Mickey is so cute! :cloud9: Almost as cute as Princess Aisling, but I think she's got him beat!

I can't believe that lines could get so long just to meet characters! Hours?! :scared1: And people seriously camped out there?!
