@WendyTJ This thread is predominantly for Melbourne. Sydney did plan a DisMeet ages ago but those regulars no longer post on the Dis.

Coat-Mass in July DisMeet



It was a cold night in July for the latest Melbourne DisMeet.
And even more important than hot, steaming foods.....


......Warm, snuggly COATS!!!


Zanzibar138 came in winter white.








FairyFloss looked great in red leather.








Red was a very popular colour. This was zaccy's red coat.






Minniemum came in blue.








Her blue matched my blue. Although, I liked mine with a bit of fluff on the side.









Conversation was sparkling as always. And it was great catching up with everyone and their travel plans. I guess I'm all Sadness. I'm the only one out of last night's Melbourne crowd that's not travelling. I wish everyone safe and happy travels!


We finished the night with a touch of Disney. Look what the super talented FairyFloss made for us! Super YUM!!!









Here's to the next Dismeet.

Disney on a Budget.......September DisMeet....of sorts


September is usually a thin time of year on the ANZAC section of the Dis. It's the traditional time of year that Aussie like to travel; what with school holidays here and a supposed quiet time in Orlando.
That kinda means for those that don't have travel plans, we're hanging around feeling really envious and wishing that the travellers will come home and tell us all about it!


But it doesn't mean that we can't enjoy Disney.....on a budget!!









And we even got our own Meet and Greets!!!










Roll on the October DisMeet, with interstate and overseas visitors!

ANZAC DisMeet - Tiptoe Through the Tulips with Us



The first weekend in October brought a flurry of Dis-visitors to Melbourne! Well....two. But with those two, we had a true ANZAC DisMeet!

Present were @WanderlustNZ, @Aussie Wendy from Queensland and....(with a number of the regular crowd away) @zanzibar138 and I were there holding up our end for Melbourne.








We decided that Tesselaars was an appropriate meeting spot for this ANZAC meet. It was a definite tip-toe through the tulips for us!







Unusually, Melbourne weather was just brilliant.






We did eat there.....but for the first time in forever, I ended up not taking any food porn.



The company and conversation was brilliant. We spent time chatting about our lives, work, activities and the kind of personal milestones that mean so much to one; and those listening. I do wish that we have the opportunity to spend more time together in 3D but before too long, we had to part company.

Zanzibar, Aussie Wendy and I ended up at the National Rhododendron Gardens; walking round and chatting some more.






The blooms were magnificent!













And the gardens were delightful.












Here's to more DisMeets in the future!
