How did you get roped in to a second baby shower for her?

One of the moms (Amy) told us that Joanna was having a really hard time since she was turning 40, her DH doesn't help with the 1st kid at all, and she had gestational diabetes for the 2nd kid and it would be really nice of everyone to give Joanna a party and show her that she is loved and we are ALL there for her, and this may be the last time we can all get together for a long time, blah, blah, blah.

So we were guilted into it. In retrospect, we should have just said no but Amy made us all feel like we HAD to do this for a friend.

Now remember we meet every Wednesday anyway, so it's not like we don't see her every week ...

Did I mention to you guys that DD totally whacked her bangs off? I'm still upset about it. I was so happy with the haircut we got right before our trip. We got about seven inches off but apparently not enough off the bangs because she felt that they were too long!

I could understand like a little get together congrats kind of thing but not a full on baby shower...
