I'm watching the show right now. One thing that came to mind is that Ryan may have PTSD due to being in Afghanistan, so that would explain his outburst.

I don't think, it's PTSD...just his personality. Alcohol can bring out the "real you" and obviously, Ryan's a mean drunk.

I haven't watched yet. I knew Ryan was trouble when he was installing security cameras all over Vicki's property. Its just weird. I mean they live in a fancy gated community, not Compton. He also had a conversation about living with Vicki and Brooks with Vicki's brother before that was just weird. He really seems like a control freak to me

I have never been a Vicki fan but its always bothered me that her daughter and Ryan told her that Brooks couldn't set foot in the house. Based on Ryan's outburst and how he told them what was going to happen, I honestly wonder if either Vicki or Brianna is allowed to have an opinion.

He's a loose canon.

I didnt like him from the start. Why did he and brianna keep it a secret that they got married??? Could it be so Vicky couldnt talk Brianna out of it. I think Ryan had plans to marry Bre, get on the show and step in and take over-weirdo!

My first thought was who is this terp trying to tell Vicky what to do in her own home! It really rubbed me the wrong way. I dont think he has pstd, I think hes a control freak and I wouldnt be surprised if after this last show things dont start popping up about his past. I dont think he like Brook because they both are the same. They both go after strong women, break then down and take over and use their money!

Ryan needs to be booted out of that house. There is no way he should have any say in what goes on there. It's not his house. And I'm also really sick of Briana saying "If Brooks comes here, I'll move out." Ok...so do it. Sheesh. Grow up people! I hope they nail his rear end on his lying and the way he treated Lydia's mom.

I continue to focus on how strange Gretchen's face looks this year. She has done something, obviously, and it's not pretty. And Vicki too...should have left her face alone.

I found it very interesting, after Ryan's outburst, that Tamara told Vicki "this is your house, you need to take the control back". It makes me think that everyone has seen Ryan's true colors before and they're fed up with him also.

I loved that the producers subtitled his response when Lydia's mom asked him who he was..."I own, I live here". That was quite telling.

I also wonder if Vicki agreed to Brianna and Ryan's demand to keep Brooks out of the house, if they moved in, because she was worried about Brianna being alone with him. He seems very angry and unhinged.

One last thing...I thought I remembered hearing, way back, that Ryan was actually seeing someone else when he started dating Brianna. Does anyone else remember hearing that gossip?

I think Ryan was out of line - with that said though I know he's stressed beyond belief having to go back to Afghanistan and fight the front lines all the while now missing his new wife and new baby.

With as much as Ryan is around I would have expected to see more outbursts over last season and this season if he was always like that.

He overreacted and should have apologized immediately. I also don't like it when any man calls any woman the B word - uncalled for.

Ryans outburst was totally uncalled for. He could have just said to her, "Hey, Vicki really doesn't like people to put there feet on the couch, would you mind either taking off your shoes or putting your feet down?"

I mean really, who made him the furniture police? He was so mean to her. I almost died laughing when she said, "you are so rude I may have to sprinkle you with fairy dust!"

Also, while I am not a huge fan of Brooks, there was an earlier episode where he was forbidding Vicki to bring Brooks around and was telling someone that there was no way Vicki was bringing Brooks around or him and Brianna were out of there. I think he feels like the man of the house and he acts like he owns the place and calls the shots. I think Vicki should not have agreed to have them live there.

Agree about Vicki and her outfit. Did you notice during the big group confrontation I think it was Alexis that reached over and pulled the sides of Vicki's dress together in the front to cover her up?

Ok I finally watched. Ryan has some serious issues. It was telling that Vicki's brother said something about Ryan starting stuff all the time. He has anger and control issues. Brianna better watch out.

I was surprised by his actions but put it up to his leaving soon and being stressed. It was wrong but I think he is under a lot of stress.

I love the Tamara, Alexis, and Jim moment. I think a new side of Tamara is coming out and maybe working through her past is going to help her be a better person

I think that's what Vicki was trying to do but Ryan was so angry there wasn't much point in talking to him. Then Vicki's brother tried and it didn't go well. Ryan is a total loose cannon. Vicki realized really quickly Lydia's mom was talking about Ryan and not Michael. Vicki's brother said something about Ryan always doing stuff like that. Stress over deployment is no excuse.
He better get himself under control. Kids do a lot worse than put their feet up on the couch. He really strikes me as a future abusive husband and father.

I agree he is probably under a lot of stress but that does not give him the right to go off on innocent people for tiny infractions. What happens when he is in Afghanistan with a gun and goes off on innocent people? He was so enraged all because of feet on the couch? He can't have a free pass to fly off the handle because he is in the military and under stress.

I think when Vicki agreed to keep Brooks away if they moved in with her gave Ryan a lot of power. He struts around like he owns the house and calls all the shots.

I imagine Ryan's "take charge" persona was probably very attractive to Brianna after being raise by easy-going Don. She had probably has not spent much time with men who are determined, focused, and full of leadership. Sadly, I think she didn't realize that he is actually a control-freak with anger issues. They married and had Troy so quickly that by the time she realized it, it was too late. She's in a tough spot.

What boggles my mind is that he demands respect but cannot seem to give it. He truly believes that Lydia's Mom was aggressive and disrespectful.

I can't help but wonder if part of their living arrangement is to prevent Briana and Troy from being isolated and living alone Ryan. If that were my daughter and grandchild, I would do whatever it takes to keep them where I can make sure they're safe and protected.

Honestly, this may be the first bit of "reality" I've seen on one of these shows. So sad.
