~ The Real Housewives of Orange County ~ Season 12~ 2017 ~ JULY 10th

I think that Vicki is being treated like crap on both sides. I think Brooks is definitely a little shady and definitely needs to think about his actions/words. HOWEVER, Briana needs to look at the way she is behaving and treating people. She is badgering her mother, she is treating her like a child and she is defending a man that was clearly mistreating a guest. Her husband is disrespectful to her mother, her mother's guests and it sounds like to a lot of other people. Briana obviously enjoyed seeing her mother in pain on that reunion...it was strange.

Her lack of apology for her husband's behavior spoke volumes to me.

Right. "On behalf of my husband, I would like to apologize to Lydia's mother. While it does not excuse my behavior, I was under a lot of stress. That is not the person I really am"

She didn't have to sit there and talk about him but she basically dismissed his behavior.

I'd agree that it wouldn't have hurt to throw that out there. I'm willing to bet though that since Ryan made a statement saying editing cut out a lot that she believes him if she was cleaning mud and wine off the couch.

I don't think she's obligated to issue an apology for another adults actions though, married or not. It would have been nice to do, however.

Of course not but not doing so, she makes it clear that she doesn't think he was wrong IMO.

I guess. She said his delivery sucks, but I don't think she believes his intent was wrong.

The fact that she seems blind to his massive overreation is very troubling to me. This was way, way more than a case of sucky delivery.

His delivery sucks is downplaying the whole thing. He got belligerent and extremely aggressive with a 60something year old woman.

Maybe Brooks' comments should just be dismissed as his delivery sucks.

The intent doesn't matter. He was totally wrong and should not only apologize but be embarrassed by his behavior. It doesn't appear that's the case (especially after reading Lydia's blog).

Why was Vicki even crying? You know, odds are she met Brooks for dinner after the show and probably went home with him that very night :crazy2:

They are like a high school couple who breaks up and gets back together every other week!

I think Brianna and Andy struck a deal that she would bring Brooks down if Andy allowed the reunion to play out in a way that protected Ryan. I think Vicky knew the deal going in and had agreed to it, though not happily.

I can't begin to imagine why he would agree to this, but it even appeared to me that Brooks had some idea that this was how it would play out.

And in a 3 hour reunion, Ryan's psychotic and aggressive outburst- one of the biggest moments of the season IMO- was barely addressed.

The whole thing with Ryan could have been avoided if he apologized. He didn't.

We're comparing Ryan's outburst at the party to Brooks saying Ryan should beat Brianna now?

And she is down playing it. I don't think she thinks what he did was wrong, just how it came out. I imagine she is in the same camp as Ryan, that they edited Lydia's mom being rude out.

ITA & while I think Brooks is crap there is no proof of any abuse just a drunken rant.

Now Ryan, how much more of an explosive temper can you get! Brianna will probably get a first hand look at abuse the first time she challenges his authority. She has so far been a doormat. I wold be mortified if my DH behaved like that to anyone, I don't care what they said. He should have gotten Vicki(who owns the house, although he said he did) and told her what happened. It is her house, not his

We have no idea what context Brooks said that in. Maybe he was dead serious and is an abusive jerk or maybe it was a drunken idiot making a bad joke. Who knows.

Ryan's "outburst" was abusive. He was out of control and verbally abusing a 60something year old woman. It doesn't matter if they edited Lydia's mother. Even if they did, the unedited conversation they did play was enough to see Ryan was totally wrong.

She probably doesn't think what he did was wrong and that's exactly the problem. She trashed Brooks and refused to even let him speak to explain himself all because of drunken comments he made but she doesn't even see her husband yelling and swearing at someone's mother as wrong. Unfortunately, she will probably end up on the receiving end of his "outburst" at some point.

In what context is that okay at all?! If he was joking he would have said so. He said he was drunk and pissed off. Will we be dismissing comments about rape because they might be joking?

I didn't say to dismiss them or that his comments were ok.

He did ask Brianna what was said before he made the comment. Its entirely possible that it wasn't said in the way Brianna is saying it. Is it ok to make off handed comments or jokes about domestic violence? No but people do. While Brooks seems like a slimey used car salesman type, I don't think there's been anything to suggest he is abusive. They've never shown anything like that on the show. If they had him being abusive towards Vicki, it would have been shown.

We have Ryan's comments on tape and we heard them. We heard what the woman was saying and her tone so yeah, I'll compare the two and say Ryan's behavior was worse.

No I have heard the tape. It is not good. He is mad at Vickie and talks bad about we and then tells Ryan what he needs to do. Drunk or not he should of never said it and Ryan should not of done what he did but we know they did not play that whole conversation so she may of been wrong also.

I also loved his little slip about "owning" this house. he caught himself just in time. I think with that little snafu, I am of the opinion that maybe he is also after some of Vicki's money.

Also did you see the way Ryan jerked his shoulder away and cocked his head to the side when someone tried to calm him down, it was like he was 2 seconds away from knocking the crap out of someone. A person who isn't in a rage doesn't have this body language. He was a crazed animal that night.

I don't understand how Brianna can accuse Brooks of being violent and then defend her husbands actions when clearly her husband has the same tendencies, at least by his mannerisms that night and also his tone of voice.

Where's the tape? I wanna hear it.

it doesn't matter if Lydia's mom is wrong too. Ryan was wrong. Brianna came out and trashed Brooks. She hurt her mother. She defended Ryan. What Ryan did is no better. He was rude, aggressive and disrespectful. You can't come out guns blazing to trash one guy and when a lot of the words you are using also describe the husband whose actions you were just defending.

I found a little bit of it, not the whole thing. Also says Brooks is the defendant in a murder for hire plot? Super.

Radar online is supposed to have the full tape but I can't find it on my iPad.
