Whaaaat?
I went show-jumping today.
I did the baby classes, the 1ft clear round, 1ft9/2ft and 2ft/2ft3.
Aaaaand I cleared the clear round, came 2nd in the 1ft9/2ft and 3rd in the 2ft/2ft3 and there was about 20 people in each class! My baby boy was amazing! Our clear round was quite shakey and nervy but then we were totally a team! He got me out of a real horrible mess that I made on the 8th fence and I got him out of the poorly spaced double! I wasn't even riding to place! I'd never done a jump off with him so I was doing slightly wider more considerate turns at a steadier (though still quick) speed. Jeez I tell you what gives us a year and we are going to be fantastic! He's so fluent and he has a beautiful pace around the course, I don't have to keep kicking like I did with the other horses but I don't have to hold him back and fight either! He's not completely easy, you really have to turn him and also trust him. He doesn't jump anything for anybody. On some of the wider fences I had to really give him a come on but you can't hit or bully him because he's super sensitive. He suits me though and I think I might have a lot of success with him, I'm not too sure he's going to teach my sister to jump though xD
