We're going to mall to see a movie, then staying at Embassy Suites, which opened like less than a year ago. And it's huge and pretty. And since it's in my county district, we get a discount.

Concord Mills Mall

It's funny that we have so many historic things here, Roanoke Island (The Lost Colony), Kitty Hawk (Wright Brothers, First in Flight), Cape Hatteras (beautiful, old Lighthouse), Outer Banks (where Black Beard would hide out), and the local gold mines (first Gold Rush in America), and yet a shopping mall is our biggest tourist attraction.

Haha yeah. Well when you grow up learning Imperial, it doesn't seem hard. It's actually quite simple.
We're equally mixed between brunettes and blondes. In my group, there's six of us, and three of us are brunette, and 3 of are blonde. Haha

Lowes Motor Speedway
Built in 1960, the legendary 1.5 mile superspeedway is home to NASCAR NEXTEL, Busch and Craftsman Truck Series racing. NASCAR events highlight the schedule in May and October, but the 167,000-seat facility also hosts numerous other activities including three of the country's largest car shows, a 10-week series of Legends Car, Bandolero and Thunder Roadster racing and stock car driving schools. Daily tours are available (except during events) and a gift shop is loaded with souvenirs and racing memorabilia.

The Dirt Track at Lowe's Motor Speedway is a state-of-the-art facility opened in 2000 and seats 14,500 people. Featuring a four-tenths-mile red clay oval, the Dirt Track hosts a schedule of special events featuring late model stock cars, World of Outlaws, sprint cars and car-crushing monster trucks.

zMAX Dragway
The zMAX Dragway @ Concord is the "Bellagio of Drag Strips," according to Speedway Motorsports CEO Bruton Smith. The Dragway hosts NHRA events, including the annual NHRA Carolinas Nationals, as well as many other drag racing events. The NHRA Carolinas Nationals is the first playoff round of the NHRA POWERade Countdown to the Championship and feature competition in all four professional categories - Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle.



I've been to the speedway a gazillion times. But only once to the dragway. And I never want to go back. I had dirt ALL over me. Under my fingernails, covering my skin, on my clothes, in my hair, etc. It was terrible and so boring.

Yesterday was so freaky BECAUSE this senior girl came into my World History class to help out my teacher, because she had a free period and she was like his favorite student or something. So guess what. Her name is Eimear! But you actually say her name the way it's spelled, like "Eh-mear". AND she likes the Boston Red Sox! (she told me that, because I was wearing my New York Yankee ribbon ) and she lived in England with her grandfather for two years when she was younger! Oh. and her last name is an awful lot like yours. But not the same. It has the same first two letters, though.

So yeah. I told her about you. I was like "I know this girl, who lives in England. And she has the same name as you, and her last name is similar. And she loves the Red Sox" it was so freaky!
