I hate it when:
Classmates use sparknotes to do all there work instead of read the book.
I have time to read the book, then you have time to read the book.
No excuses, it's laziness, and I think poorly of it.

I use sparknotes to help me get an overview AFTER I've read the chapter or to learn more about the themes and character analysis.

The Scarlett Letter is a hard read.
I hated it until about halfway through and then it got really good.

Power through it.
It was dragged on too long, I could've done without the first half.
