It's fine to be patriotic, but when you're disrespecting other fine countries, it's just...errggh.
I have no respect for people who disrespect other countries.
[begin how America is the best] Meg, are you serious? There's countries out there where those people are being tortured and limited to everything they do. America is by far the best country. [/end America is the best rant]
But, I would never even think about moving to another country. Unless I was born/raised in another country, like you Allie. I don't get why anyone would ever want to leave America?
1. I love you Sara, but remember: there are other countries that are great and wonderful too. Please be respectful to them.
2. I have been raised in many countries. I have lived in Canada, South Africa, England, Scotland, France, Australia, New Zealand, and the USA. I have seen the good points and the bad points of every country. I love America, and I know I don't always come across that way, but I love America. But I also love the other countries I've lived in because they are wonderful in their own way.

ireland pride!
WOOOOOO.
my dada is from NI. hence my Irish name. and my angry side. xD. and why I get pretty offended when people are like oh yeah, England.

DUDE IT'S ENGLAND, WALES, SCOTLAND AND NORTHERN IRELAND xD
Yeah, I've heard. It bugs me. And with the Christianity thing, freedom of religion.

....she rules the whole Commonwealth

damn. whoopsies xD

erm.

GOD SAVE OUR GRACIOUS QUEEN, LONG LIVE OUR NOBLE QUEEN, LONG MAY SHE REIGN! SEND HER VICTORIOUS, HAPPY AND GLORIOUS, LONG TO REIGN OVER US, GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!

uk national anthem ftw xD

1. Cookies rock BUT :p
2. You and your Southern accent ;)
3. I'd find him hilarious if he had an ounce of respect for other countries

1. Cookies FTW
2. Gotta love Southern accents :D
3. He does, Egypt. That's the only country he hasn't bashed on so far...

:cool2:

Freedom of speech, he can say whatever he likes to about those other countries. Of course, it is rude a lot. But he's got the right to say it

don't forget to remind your history teacher, that without THE UNITED KINGDOM AND NORTHERN IRELAND (yeh, not england. England is simply like If your teacher said 'north carolina' and not united states.)

you would cease to exist as you do today. we gave you language and Canada. xD

I never knew the queen rules Canada too. I just thought it was the UK.

Yes, but y'all gave us mean taxes!

Because, we're proud to be free! (from you guys xD)
I say the pledge every morning, because I'm glad I live in America, we're all so lucky.

I don't know. I've never really had pride in my country since I started learning the dark side of things. Sure, everywhere has its good and its bad, but it's just...just MHO.

And I don't say the pledge because I'm too tired or whatever, but because of the "under God". And that's a personal/religious thing (or rather, lack of religion).

I would LOVE to move to another country. I'm so excited to study abroad! You can't tell me you wouldn't love to study in France or Italy for 6 months!

And not all of us are lucky...

I knowwwww. That's why I'm totally getting duel citizenship in England.
Remember, you have to live in the UK for 7 years to get citizenship. You only have to live in Canada for 3. Plus, if you get Canadian citizenship, you can move to the UK anytime you want. If you have commonwealth citizenship you can move anywhere in the Commonwealth. Just a thought.

What countries still have Lizzie McGuire, That's so Raven and Phil of the Future on? Point one to the UK!

We have Lizzie McGuire and That's so Raven! I watch them on CBS all the time!

I know, but think of one thing: Growing up here, in NC, you're mainly taught about how amazing America is, and how we're "#1". Southern/Country people apparently have a very odd patriotic sense.

Oh I know. I read it, Meg. ;)

SUPER-WELSH-GIRL!

Yes, yes...I miss the Phil of the Future theme song. It was so great!

Nor do I. Even Iran. Just because one very small minority of people crashed a few planes doesn't mean we have to hate them, all of them, all the time.

(And I'm jealous! Scotland! England! AUSTRALIA! SOUTH AFRICA! Sooo jealous!)

Yes, but y'all gave us mean taxes!

I'd still switch the hell out of there.

It's strange, I've never wanted to study in another country. I'd love to go to university in Wales - Aberystwyth, or somewhere in the UK at least..
I doubt I could study abroad, but there's so many countries and American States I want to visit.

Separation of Church and State is becoming bogus now. I'm like "STAY OUT OF OUR BUSINESS *beeping* CATHOLIC CHURCH!"

I knowwwww. That's why I'm totally getting duel citizenship in England.
I'm catholic xD
DUAL CITIZENSHIP IN AMERICA AND UK BABY. xD

Exactly why I'm not fond of the South. Again, don't get me started on the Bible Belt/Southern Baptist thing. Grrr. In the north, we're just like "screw this, we're moving to Canada", XD. Really. We are. Liberalness FTW.

I hate to break it to you love, but in the US they make you renounce your citizenship from other countries once you're over 18.

Naw I'm definitely coming to visit some DISers and people I know over there, even if I need to crash on your floor! xD

And not all of us are lucky...

We did a project about the "under god" part that was added to the pledge, in Old Testement class. When it was added, America's "official" religion was Christianity. It's showing us that after all we went through, we're still a nation, ONE nation, not two seperate nations, not anything.

Yes, we are all lucky, lucky to be free. Not all of us are lucky to have family, or money, or homes, or food. But we're all still free (:

I don't hate everyone in Iran, but do I like them? No, not really.

I love his class! He gives us all a different opinion on things, and has interesting ideas. The fact that my two best friends sit behind me in that class helps also
