The Pursuit of Disney Magic (June 7-14, 2008) ~ UPDATED 9/30 pg. 191

Just wing it!! I think you made really smart choices for your Itinerary...remember that you go to the water park to get wet (the pools are heated) so who cares if it's raining... you'll have the place to yourselves.

For PPP...just knowing that it may be crowded is half the battle...

I love that your DH knows already that he wants Nachos as a snack...too funny.

And I bet that CSR is better then most hotels in the Orlando area...think of it as a research trip...if you hate it you never have to stay there again but you get to check it off your Disney resort list!

I will take lots of pics for you. :goodvibes If they do the same thing they did last year, they will have it in August. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

T would be happy since Jasmine is there! :thumbsup2

Thanks!!!

He definitely has to visit his fav princess again. Funny thing is he's never seen Aladdin :lmao:

Oh I forgot...at DTD you can also try Wolfgang Puck Express in either the Marketplace or the Westside. The Markerplace location just re-opened after a refurb. It's on my list for Oct.

Well, I went ahead and made a ressie for Kona -- we can always cancel it if we don't feel like going. It will also take care of breakfast and lunch for us since I got a late ADR.

I can't tell you how many times DH has mentioned those nachos -- I don't know why he is so fixated on them -- strange man :sad2: .

I thought the exact same thing about CSR -- one of two things could happen: we'll love it or we won't. Either way, it's Disney so I am confident we will get the same level of service as other Disney resorts. Like you said, I can check it off my list of places to stay. :thumbsup2 My mom suggested staying off-site last night and I would rather stay at my least favorite Disney resort, then somewhere off site -- especially since we will be there a good bit.

Thanks!!!

That's funny! :lmao: T should definitely watch Aladdin -- he would probably love it with that silly Genie and of course, sassy Jasmine. :) Maybe an aunt/nephew movie night? :)

I looked at the menu and liked the looks of it -- maybe, if DH hasn't stuffed himself too full of nachos.

That's a great idea. Hmmm maybe next weekend. He's in Albany this weekend visiting family and has preschool all week. Popcorn, Aladdin, and maybe an Aladdin coloring book and stickers next weekend.

Is the coloring book and stickers for T or you?? ;)

Sounds like a blast!

:lmao: Probably both. I may find some stickers to decorate this trip planning binder I'm attempting to put together.

Remember to take a picture and post it when it's finished! I love seeing everyone else's trip binders!

WHAT?

Okay so how many trips this year will that be....?

So cool.......:thumbsup2

Good choice to just relax......

Everytime we go by Earl's it's really crowded.....:confused3

Have you ever tried Wolfgang's? I haven't either, but they just remodeled the one at the Marketplace.....just a thought...

Typhoon Lagoon.......nice.......if you have questions about TL, let me know.

I know, CRAZINESS, right?

Well, if you count from last June -- this is our third. If you are counting how many in 2008 we will end up taking -- three. We really should invest in APs!

Good choice to just relax......
I think so, too. Hopefully, we won't end up bored.

MRYPPNS suggested Wolfgang's also -- we've never tried it, but I hear good things -- it's a definite maybe if we don't do Earl.

Typhoon Lagoon.......nice.......if you have questions about TL, let me know.

I printed off the stuff you mentioned before. :thumbsup2

Do you happen to know off-hand how deep the pools are that you plunge into? I have a teensy small fear of deep pools. :sad2:

You're going to have a great time! If you're aiming to just relax this trip and you're not jockeying for a position in the parks, I think you're going to be just fine.

You'll have to let me know what you think of CSR. I love the theming there and was considering it as a resort possibility when my Sept. trip was still a solo one.

Just think, this time tomorrow you'll be on your way to the Mouse!!!

And breakfast at Kona means only one thing - Tonga Toast!

That's my gut feeling, too.

The more I look at it, the more I like it. I just don't like the look of the Ranchos section. Watch that be where we end up!

Just think, this time tomorrow you'll be on your way to the Mouse!!!

That was the first thought that popped into my head this morning when I woke up, and the first thing I said to DH this morning. It's almost surreal!

And breakfast at Kona means only one thing - Tonga Toast!

Tonga! Tonga! Tonga! :lmao:

Note: The title comes from a song from The Muppet Movie. As Kermit and Fozzie are headed to Hollywood, they sing it.

We are now under the 24-hour mark for Expedition Disney on a Whim! Thought I would update on all the travel preparations going on at our house. Also, as an aside, the I-am-Completely-Excited side of me has won over the This-is-Completely-Foolhardy side of me.

Yesterday was the Getting Ready to Getting Ready Day. I cleaned the house, did laundry, filled up the car, and ran to Walmart. Charles and Chelsea went to get haircuts so they are now picture-worthy. :rotfl: Connor and I had haircuts recently so we are also ready for our close-ups.

For the record, Walmart is a dangerous place (as is Target which I avoided). I went to get laundry detergent and left with several other necessities. Tink hair clips and bath stuff (Brittbritt's pictures made these a must -- also, Tink's lotion says it is infused with pixie dust -- do you know how hard it is to find pixie dust in lotion??? :rotfl2: ), a new bathing suit for Chelsea, a pink shirt for Chelsea, snacks for the road, and several other odds and ends.

I also made an ADR for Kona Cafe for Tuesday morning. I figured we could go eat breakfast and then pop over to the MK to pick up our tickets for the P&PP party via Monorail (Connor will be pleased). Tonga Toast, Kona coffee, and the monorail -- here we come!

The trip binder was proving to be a problem so I decided to just use the one that I have created for the June trip -- a lot of what is in there we will use on this trip so it just seemed easier to toss the new stuff into the front of the binder.

Last but not least, I pulled out suitcases and started getting things out of the trip drawers. An added plus to being an obsessive Disney planner is that I have been amassing things for months now -- I just have to pull it out and put it in the suitcases. That makes packing in a hurry a little bit easier.

Today's plans: Packing and getting the car ready. My dad is going to make sure it is trip-worthy (similar to making sure a ship is sea-worthy :)), and I am going to take it to get washed (it needs to be all sparkly for its inaugural road trip). :thumbsup2
